Came to work today to find ex-coworker sitting at his old desk! Apparently the Administrator is moving ahead with the restoration of our bureau. Thats fine and all but...... They never restored the programs or functions! So as good little worker bees my manager and lead worker split my territory and gave half to him! When he was here before we had a full time program that kept us very busy and viable but now... I am trying to stay proactive even with the program cuts over the last two years, but gosh! Then to top it off the motherboard on the computer took a crap, and I lost a form I had been working on for the last two hours! The computer tec that came to look at it, just shrugged his shoulders and said they knew about the bad motherboards and he would get to it! So I am at some other cubicle doing my work at another computer and guess what? The effin thing lost the same form that I had lost earlier in the morning! I have lost 21 years here, and I am still stuck doing the same thing I was doing when I started, only half as much! As a previous administrator once said, "Don't invest in your job" Done now~! You know that if you start drinking and calling out sick a lot and coming to work drunk, in most states they give you a real long vacation to "recover". I would probably take advantage of any employee assistance programs your employer offers. It sounds like you need a vacation. | ||
