Put my Bruvva 'The Hippie' on the Firebolt and took some action shots for the Kiwi Rider test this morning. Not spectacular, but solid enough and I have some real nice statics as posted earlier. Then I cleaned it, filled it up and returned it to Auckland Motorcycles (Good tip if you want to borrow lots of bikes) and grabbed the City - X. First experience on the 900. What a f'ing great motorcycle!! Detailed report so far reads: heheheheheheheheheh. Whooohooo hehehehehehehehhehhehe bwahahahahahahhahahah. I'm doing THAT again! yeeeharrr. I dig these types of bike so much. It feels not like you are hoping on a machine, but more like attaching a motor to your body. The killer pitbike from hell. And balanced! I can ride it around town and hardly have to put a foot down. Remaining stationary is not much harder than on my mountain bike. In fact that's what I was riding it like. A rev revving 900cc one. Outstanding. It's even quite comfortable for a big bloke - not a Uly but OK. Looks weird, but it's more comfortable than the R for the longer limbed. surprised me too. It's taller than I thought it woud be. Parked next to my Uly I call it 'mini-me'. More to come - and the TT has arrived. In a crate still. I volunteered to run it in (actually I pleaded). dd (Message edited by danger_dave on February 26, 2007) |

Yes, It's rather fun timing and crawling up to lights. Sometimes wish I know what the cages were thinkin behind me (as to why I don't fall over...) |

Great review. I do the "don't put feet down" thing as well. Great fun. And my "little 9" fits me (6'2") better then my Cyclone did. It's fun to be stopped, and if it starts to lean to the correct side, just let it fall but start rolling forward and make your turn. Wheeeeeee! About sums it up. Somebody around here had the calvin and hobbes wagon photo on their timing cover... I'd love to do that. |
