This is going to be fun. I can't wait to get the tail swap done. I've been wanting to do this ever since it was found that it could be done. I remember a few years ago it was said it couldn't be done... I wonder how many times it's been done since. |

Is the build team ready? I hope to be in the Atlanta area mid afternoon on the 23RD. If all goes well, maybe we can get it done on Friday night and get some riding in on Saturday |

The build team is most always ready. If we can't get to the Barn, we can do everything in my garage. I don't see it taking very much time, as we know we have all the parts we need. New12r is in Virginia this weekend, I check with him when he gets back to make sure we have access to the Barn. I'll also see if it's possible to take off work at lunch time the 23rd to insure we get everything done as soon as we can. I may even begin the tear down of my bike on Thursday to speed things along. I'm pretty sure New12r won't mind me leaving my bike over at the Barn overnight. Now if the weather cooperates we'll have a fine time. |

I hope my grater comes in next week so I can get it done and ready to install. I ordered a new one for a 07 xb9. I think its black powder coated part# M0613.1ADYT I hope it fits and I don't screw it up..... I will keep you posted with whats going with my journey south. Do I need to bring any tools or anything else for that matter? |

I hope it fits and I don't screw it up..... Aw go ahead and screw it up, you'll have mine if ya need a second chance. Do I need to bring any tools or anything else for that matter? I doubt very seriously we'll need any tools. New12r's barn has just about everything a wrench turning Bueller could need. But, just to be safe you could bring the basics. Nothing else I can think of, DO NOT bring your weather down with you! |

I just ordered a set of Pazzo adjustable levers, I got a new cheese grater on the way so that I can have it chopped before I head south. Picked up a pair of BikeMaster turn signals yesterday. What else can I do? Now I just play the waiting game...... will the parts make it on time??????? Will I screw up my new grater during the cut it up faze??? |

Relax, at the very least you'll be swapped and riding before you leave here. We're in the Winter Weather Yo-Yo. This weekend was nice. Next weekend will probably be cold... You'll more than likely will get some kind of seat time. New12r said to bring 'em on over, so we're set with everything we could ever need for space, and tools. |

Yo-Yo: case in point. Today, high of 63 tonight a low around 43. By the end of the week, it'll be in the 40's for the high, and in the 20's for the lows. But don't worry none, we'll ride unless it's just wetter than hell or something like that. |

I took the Yamaha for a little ride on Sunday. I was making left to turn on my road, when some guy in a truck blew a stop sign and gave me a good scare. The cool part is I bet he thinks I'm an a$$ for turning in front of him.... STOP the new meaning..... S slightly T tap O on P peddle |

At least it was only a scare. Driver's folly is something none of us are immune to unfortunately. I have stories...well, I'd bet we all do! |

Can't wait. I sure hope the weather cooperates! Right now it's 25o with a promised high of around 40o. Of course they're calling for 50's by Monday, and if you dare to look further, in the 60's by Wednesday.... I try not to look too far ahead though, Atlanta weather isn't something that can be predicted with any real accuracy, especially this time of year. |

We can ride and go to IMS. We can ride to IMS. Free parking if you ride. I don't care either way to be honest. Supposed to be in the 60s. If you'd rather ride the whole time that's cool. I'll be needing seat time with the new seat anyhow. Lets just play it by ear, and see what happens. |

The levers look extra nice, I'm gonna have to get a set. Not too awful expensive either. Well we did it. It took a couple of hours to get done, there were some hang ups as expected, but nothing major. Friday, I didn't get off work as soon as I would have liked, but at least I got home. Wolf was there waiting, MrsG was making dinner, so we unloaded his bike, and got ready to go to New12r's Buell Barn. MrsG made her famous "Torture Loaf", it's torture smelling it cooking, because it smells so good! After dinner, we rode over to the Barn, and New12r, Brave_angel, Lightningdave, Lightning_amy, Lighning_jenna, Smokescreen, MrsG, and our two boys were all there, it was a party. Seems to always be that way when you get a few 3%ers together. While New12r, and Wolf took care of Wolf's bike, Smokescreen, Lighningdave, and I took care of mine. Wolf's bike was done in no time at all, then we concentrated on finishing up mine. Fortunately we had all we needed at the barn to lengthen the blinker and brake wires. Then all we had to do was figure out how/where to get the electrics a place to live. We were done and it was late, but we had to ride! Got out on the street, and my bike dies. Turned it off, turned it back on and it died again fairly quickly, so it was back to the barn. Took off the kickstand switch and bypassed it, started it up and got out of the barn only to have it die again. Turns out that the word UP means TOP with regards to the bank sensor. Turned it 45o after looking at Smokescreen's bike, and all was well. We rode the long way home. Turns out Wolf can wheelie pretty damned good with his new Streetfighter seat and tail. The next day, we rode! Smokescreen came out with us, and we rode the local route, nothing great, but it was nice to be riding, and getting used to the new riding position. New12r had to work until 1:00 so by the time he got off, and was headed our way, it was time for Wolf to head back to Ohio. Now it's raining. Wolf had some great timing with regards to what weekend he chose to come down, wonderful weather. Now it's raining. Pictures of the bikes, will be in a minute or two. My main computer (the one with photoshop) has taken a dump. I'm afraid this time it's dead. So I'll have to figure out how to resize with Linux, using Gimp. Can't be too hard, can it? More on this soon... |
