Heap of pics of around the city here: http://homepage.mac.com/david_cohen_design/PhotoAlbum38.html 5 minutes after getting the confirmation email that I could lay my mitts on the local Buell 'Press' fleet I was in a taxi to Auckland Motorcycles to pick up the Firebolt. 2,000km on the clock meant she was nice and loose and as ready for action as I was. What a great urban warrior. I'm too tall for it and it hurts my knees, but I don't care - It's such bloody (I'm Australian - I'm allowed) good fun that I rode it around incessantly anyway. It’s only 1 cylinder and half a handlebar wide. It just carves up city snarls – If my shoulders fit – I do. You can ride it around the streets at the speed limit and not have to slow down to turn off. Just flick it round. Did all the usual stunts that we know are so easy on these machines and gave it a good flogging around some perfect sports bike roads to the north of the city. Just lapped it up. It feels like it has less vibration than my XB12X (22,000km and not long ago tuned up) – if anyone can offer any insight into why? Is this a new 07 thang – or just different bikes or efi or… Overall – loved it. Fun fun and more fun. Now the challenge is to turn all that into 1,000 words. (I’ll post it when I do. Only 750 to go.) dd (Message edited by danger_dave on February 25, 2007) |

looks great!! I'm a yellow 'bolt fan..and the black wheels and tinted visor look fantastic alongside that hard blaring yellow. I like the "cool/yellow popsicle" pic...very creative! |

Who stole my bike! You got the "fast" 12R! It has been scientifically proven that the yellow plastics contribute to a substantial decrease in air resistance, adding at least 5 hp over any other color!
