Could some one please tell me what the differnce is between the white and black. Do you still need high temp coating on the black. | ||

When i owned my GPZ1100 i wrapped the head pipe with the black did not use the high temp coating everything was fine. The tape smoke for a little but it always does. The black looked awesome. my GPZ1100 got pretty hot had no problems with the tape in 2000 mile till i sold it. | ||

I used the black AND sprayed it with the paint. Seemed like it would just be better sealed....I figured better safe than redoing it.... | ||

It is also recommended by the manufacturer to spray the black with their coating. | ||

If you soak the tape in water before applying a lot of the black will stay in the bucket, which is why I think a lot of people paint it over-looks better. |
