That's cool, now I just have to figure out how to mount it to my helmet. |

OH HELL YES!!! Built it and I will buy... That would definitely thin out the heard. The only problem is I would have to up the retainer for my lawyer. I think I could just buy a new Buell every week for what device would cost me in legal fees.

The other alternative is to hook up a tazer built under the seat to a cheap cellphone, When the bike is stolen call the number & zap. A little plastique would do I suppose too, but you'd have to make sure the phone was off when you were riding in case someone dialled a wrong number. |

That is the exact reason I don't own a gun. I would be too tempted to play the role of Paul Kersey. "Take that punk" This forum won't let me embed a video, so click on the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YVf_j742mA Still one of my all time favorite laugh films. |

not exactly legal, but a cattle prod unit wired to the handlebars, or chassis via a remote should work quite nicely....and you can always claim it was an accidental short CM - parts would be $60 from Princess Auto:$30 for the stock prod, and $30 for a 12v on/off accessory remote, relay, and wiring. Works really well for keeping livestock off of equipment as well - before I get flamed too badly for knowing this sort of nasty trick. |

now if I was REALLY nasty, I'd recommend wiring it through a stainless mesh across the seat - a nice case of roast chestnuts should make the perp easy to identify (probably help Darwin along quite nicely, and prevent future generations of vandals, too !) |

What's all this crap about "legal"? Last time I checked, car theft was illegal. I say that puts THEM at fault! Fry away! ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on February 24, 2007) |

Swordsman, I agree with you, but we both know how many times home owners have been sued by buglers because they fell. The problem is most thief's have little in assets, while most of us actually have jobs, homes, etc... I had a lawyer once tell if someone was to break into my house and "something" was to happen to them. I would be best served by just disposing of the body instead of getting Johnny law involved. What a world we live in. |
