Jersey is the most southerly island of the British Isles, measures about 10 miles x 5 miles and is generally full of rich people. Here's what happened when someone took the island's only 1098 out for a spin:

No word on the rider but with a 40 mph blanket speed limit methinks they couldn't have been going that fast...

Was it deliberately buried? A little minor body work and paint and it will look as good as new. Ducatis crash very well.

Looks like road kill.
Even at 40mph, a sudden stop to 0mph causes quite a bit of damage.
I'd be willing to bet the rider wasn't obeying the posted 40mph limit, I know I probably wouldn't.
Rocket, was this one of your friends?

Well that one crashed real good.

I don't get the dirt, was it moved?
There's little I can pick out from the pics, but I think that bike is pretty much hosed. I hope the rider faired better.

Looks like it either went into a ditch, of hill made of sand. There's not a lot that you can hit that'll slow you faster than a heap of sand. They probably dragged it out of the hole it dug itself into the road, so they could get it on the wrecker.
I agree, that bike is toast.
It crashed, it crashed real good.

They may have thrown the dirt on it to stop the fire...

Doesn't look like any real fire fighting equipment around...

Could have used the sand to soak up spilled fuel. I hope the rider wasn't hurt.

It looks like it picked up a ton of dirt going through the grass topless and top-forward. I think it flipped the other way when it hit pavement and dumped its load.

Lol...my wife would get a kick out of that. She hates hairy men. Unfortunately for her I've been sprouting more body hair every year.
