This sucks. I had a dream last night about eating a McDonalds Fillet-O-fish.
Some extra tartar sauce an you can blend that too

Make sure you get healed before the bike season!
BTW, I hear working on Buells is a good form of pain relief

I had my tonsils removed when I was 13.
Because of my age I had to be in the children's ward.
I was 6 feet tall and weighed 235 lbs.
Needless to say the bed was too small, but the care was wonderful.
I found the best thing to do to end the pain was to eat everything. At first I wouldn't eat anything and the pain was strong. After a good meal of macaroni and cheese the pain really subsided.
I spent the night flirting with the nurses. |

I've been doing some serious research and found out what that dangly thing's for. It's for piercing and hanging things in it. So, unless you've got an odd earring, or bar and need a place out of the way to put it, plus a penchant for really dumb stuff, you shouldn't miss it at all. Now, if I can just find out what tonsils are for... |

I'm turning 50 next week, stuff that we shook off when we were 20-30 yrs old seems to affect us more. At least we're still riding. And riding Buells at that! Get well soon. |

Brad-
A word of encouragement, we are down in Ocean Springs MS right now doing some reconstruction work. Be very glad that your pain will be over in a few weeks. These people have been dealing with this for a year and a half now.
It's pretty amazing how upbeat they are after dealing with the weather, the goverment and insurance companies.
Take care and we'll be riding soon (I also missed out on the big storm that hit home). |

I hit a milestone today!!
I ate real food!
I just finished a small plate of spagetti noodles bathed in melted butter.
You folks have NO idea how good that tasted!
The throat handled it pretty well, I may have more for breakfast.
Maybe now the scarey plunge in weight will slow a bit.
Last Monday I weighed about 249 with out my shoes.
This morning with street clothes and slippers I was at about 236.
I was trying to loose weight but not that fast!

Careful, now is maybe the most important time to take it easy. You don't have as much pain to keep you from over-doing it.
It was the day after I started eating Mac&Cheese that I ended up back in the emergeny room at 2am....
Go slow and take it easy for a couple more days...  Glad to hear you are feeling better!

There is a LOT of thought, by a VERY SMART guy (you can read about him in a number of design trade mags as well as the awards he's garnered) that goes into Buell colors.
There have been a couple "memorable" colors on Buells. It's interesting that the one's that were the greatest PITA for Buell were absolutely STUNNING on motorcycles.
Also of note is that paint, color, matching, fading, chipping, packaging, shipping, stocking (bodywork takes LOTS of room) and gosh darn near everything that has to do with bodywork pretty much works in concert to make a manufacturers life a nightmare.
For years folks have fought this. Honda outsources (Buell used the same place for a while) much of their painted parts.
Buell ain't Honda.
The Elves went to the barn. . . sat on a milk crate and thought. You can't just ELIMINATE bodywork. .. nope, can't do that. But. . . we HAVE TO do something better.
Think about something that's NEVER been done. Change the paradigm.
Take a look at your bike. . . I'll wait here.
Tell me how many painted parts you find.

Along those lines. . . . the story behind the ORANGE in 1998 was huge as was what went into choosing it and making damn sure the one we chose was the right one . . .

I know still on some pain meds but I'm really confused!
Did they do a paint job on me while I was under?
Man, I think I better grab a flashlight and check!!
