~SM: Valentines day of last year, a nice lady on a cell phone decided that a stop sign instructions were optional to follow. I broadsided her at about 35mph. You name it, I broke it. I had on full riding gear and still broke my right thigh, left knee, both shoulder blades, pretty much all of y ribs, and fractured 5 vertebrae. I also ruptured my spleen and bruised my kidneys bad enough that they bled. I spent about a week and a half in the hospital and a few days in a nursing home until my wife checked me out of there and set up a hospital room at home. A few weeks after that was bike week and my house was flooded with the best of the Bad Web. These guys kicked A$$! They helped finish some painting that I started, helped my wife, Sammie with chores and made sure we had several of the best nights I have ever had in my life. I can't say enough thanks, or enough kind words about the people on this board. With that being said... we aredoing it all again this year, minus the wreck and hospital stay. Thanks again everyone! Thnaks Erik! I would love to make it up there. Believe me, I have been thinking about it. I'll have to check the # of vacation days that I have. I used up 4 years worth of vacation and sick days when I had my wreck. As far as recovery, I am not happy yet. I still have some weakness in my left leg, but I am determined as ever to make it better that it was. Dora: Wow! Talk about a move! Good luck over there. We'll be thinking about you for sure! | ||
