How many posts are required to get to a fifth page? I figure the longer we harp on this the less of an idiot she'll appear to be. Consider it charity for the bald one |

Maybe I'm too much of a skeptic, but the possibility that everything she has done lately may have been carefully planned, to give her all this publicity, has entered my mind. In her and the likes of a Paris Hilton's world it seems no publicity is bad publicity. It certainly has captured our attention beyond rationality. |

While Americans are obsessing about Brittany's new shaved head, President Bush submitted his budget that gives $32.7 billion in tax cuts to the Wal-Mart family alone, while cutting $28 billion from Medicaid. Which story deserved to be on the front page of the major newspapers of the country? "Now, after she shaved her head in a bizarre episode that culminates a months-long saga of controversial behavior, it's the question being asked by her fans, her foes and the general public: What was she thinking?"-- Bald and Broken: Inside Britney's Shaved Head, Sheila Marikar, ABC.com, Feb. 19 What was she thinking? How about nothing? How about who gives a crap? I know that we live in a demand-based economy where there is far more demand for brainless celebrity bullcrap than there is for real news. But my definition of a real news story involves something happening. If nothing happens, then you can't have "real news" because nothing has changed since the day before. Britney Spears was an idiot last Monday, an idiot on Tuesday, and an idiot on both Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. She was also an idiot on Monday...shockingly! In reality, it will be real news when she stops being an idiot! jimidan |

What has caused more American deaths in the last 25 years? Deer or terrorist Thats right Deer! Yet the current politcal process has allowed us to spend over 300,000,000,000.00 on a "war" in Iraq. The media controls what most Americans focus on. |

Purely as a matter of interest, have Americans killed more Americans than Deer or Terrorists. Please don't get me wrong I'm not trying to wind anybody up, I'm genuinely interested in what are the major causes of death to US citizens, & the spend on prevention of same. |

Jimi, Why are you once again subjecting your partisan politics upon us? Please stop it. People here want desperately to discuss Britney Spears not your Bush-hatin' diatribes. |

Blake, While I suspect that your post is at least somewhat tongue in cheek (hopefully), I still wonder why you try and couch every post that I make into some "Bush Hating diatribe"? If you will re-read my post, you will see that I am merely pointing out how once again real news that Americans needed (and the one I spoke of is a REAL news story) to know is being preempted by an absolutely brainless celebrity bullcrap story. Something is definitely wrong with that picture. For goodness sakes, you have post on here that say, "I'm old, but I still love Bush!"...sounds pretty partisan to me! In the interest of fairness, I would think that you would offer equal time. Now back to the brainless sexual innuendo...obsess on! jimidan |

Hey Jimi, the Badweb is not your primary news source! We are not talking about the news here. We were discussing Britney. Now we're talking about bush. This is not a political thread! For the record, I love bush. F The president. |

I'm getting bushed trying to keep up with this thread. As the old saying goes, a spear in the bush is worth two in the hand, or something. OK, I'm going over to the Thumper Forum. |

For those interested in chances getting killed by a terrorist. http://www.reason.com/news/show/36765.html http://www.rense.com/general54/eeter.htm You can also find countless studies, reports, and information that shows your chances of death. (Message edited by ryker77 on February 26, 2007) |

or you could stand to reason that the amount of money put into the war effort could have been put into the exploration, testing, implementation of alternative fuel sources and thus wouldn't need to depend on Canada for the majority of our crude, hey wait a minute, weren't we talking about bush or lack thereof??? |

I'll tell you ONE thing for certain: Britney's antics make my favorite songstress (Long Island's own Mariah Carey) seem downright NORMAL. Mariah may've had a breakdown of her own along the way, but even SHE didn't self destruct the way Britney has! |

I once rented the movie Glitter for my kids and they hated it -- 8 and 10 year olds have good taste -- but I forgot to return it for about three weeks. You should have seen the look on the clerk's face when he realized that I had two weeks worth of late fees on Glitter. I haven't been in there since. |

Mariah's apparently trying the film route again. She'll be part of an ensemble cast, though... not the "lead role." Here's the kicker: it sounds like the music will be primarily BOTH kinds: Country AND Western! |
