The 1,000 and 10,000 Buells made were huge. . . heck, so was the 100th. This event, particularly with some of the other things that surrounded it (i.e. racing and making a profit) and some of the things "in flux" made this particularly spectacular. I never thought a motorcycle would evoke tears. . I was wrong. I shot 4GB of RAW material during the event to save for future use and to capture the moment (technically 11:20AM - 11-17-06) and did some in-depth interviews with many of the folks who built the bike and who have redesigned what I call 7:14. I never dreamed, when Erik built the 10th RR, that we'd see this moment. I don't think I ever doubted it, it's just that no one ever dreamed the plants, personalities, zeitgeist and technology would align in such an amazing fashion. Remind me sometime to tell you about 7:14. . .we're living in a time when the feedback look and mathematics can analyze a "pattern of one". These are amazing times.
