I've heard that there's also been a suit filed by the Hotel and Restaurant Association that claims the commercial w/ Kevin Federline as a fry cook is demeaning to restaurant workers. Now, that's funnier than the commercial itself! |

I'd have figured this one to be more offensive/patronizing to em http://www.ifilm.com/video/2818941/collection/1837 3/minisite/superbowl |

Heaven help you if you were a bald, gay short-order cook who doesn't like Prince. I thought the kiss commercial was hysterical. So did my brother, the auto mechanic. You'd think the G-L folks would recognize that a commercial where men actually touch lips shows how accepted gay men are in this society. The joke is on the homophobes who have to rip off their chest hair. Ah, heck. Why even try talking to some people? |

Yep, masterfoods shouldn't have caved so fast, it just emboldens the minority thought police to bitch about more silly stuff. I thought the commercial was hysterical but until yesterday I'd forgotten which candy bar company made the commercial. Now thanks to GLAAD's whining I now think of it as the "snicker's commercial." Goes to show that even bad advertising is still good advertising. |

How about the Garmin SuperBowl ad? It was kind of neat, a change of pace for sure. Here is the full 2.5 minute version of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taRPwYe1EYA Goes to show you that some Heavy Metal dudes can still deliver. I never heard of Stan Grimmett. He and the band are showing some mileage and maybe even hard use but they are not out of the running yet. Jack |

Political correctness is the death of the first amendment... The level of "tolerance" in the U.S. has, i hope, reached its height and we start to become less tolerant from here forward...to me tolerance means that you are allowing something wrong to take place instead of taking a stand for whats right... i for one, hated the snickers ad and would have probably stayed away from their products (Mars, Inc.) but because GLAD is bashing them...i think i will go buy a whole case of Snickers bars and mail GLAD the empty wrappers (minus the chest hair). |
