Just thought I would pass the word. A.D.Farrow's H-D in Columbus OH has a new TT in stock. It may be at the service center still. See Terry in sales for anything Buell. FYI He rides a Cyclone......and he could use the sales

on the floor or not-they will usually roll it out for you...the buell guys are usually pretty cool over there, parts counter used to leave something to be desired. They have always put the buells in the front window which is cool. do they still have the XBRR out front?

The XBRR was still there the last time I was in. As far as a test ride, I think you might have to BS your way into a ride Oh yeah, I'm going to buy....sure

they were asking if I knew how to start it, I wonder if I went down and fired it up they would let me take a spin: ) Probably need a large check in my hand though...

I was wondering more about the TT and if that was going up as a demo. With a few cosmetic changes that Buell is the best of the fleet IMO.

I was talking about the TT, I don't think they have any Buells for Demo or Rental, I do think the may let you test ride any Buell if they think you are going to buy.

I would like to try the XBRR....

I was there Monday. The RR is still out front right next to the front door.

No TT on the floor yet. I wish I knew it was there! I would of asked to see it!

I guess I'll have to stop by again this weekend.

I just went down and looked at the TT in person. I wish that thing was on floor a few month ago, it may have come home with me. It would look BAD A$$ with all black plastic! and a normal front fender and chop off the pasta strainer....

Gee is it that hard to test rides bikes over there? How do they sell the things?
I went to our new Buell dealership and said I'd like a test ride and was just given the key! Then I went on my merry way without a chaperone : )

Try Before you Buy!!!

Jodie,
It might be due to different liscensing regs. between our countries. I'm not sure but I have heard it is much tougher to get a liscense in most other countries than here, thus meaning everyone and their brother can get a liscense that doesn't restrict the size of bike you buy or ride. Plus there's the theft issue I guess. I'm just guessing here as I don't really know why it's different. I never thought it was that bad as I've always been offered the keys when I asked but I know some places want to see a check before you do. Others make you fill out a whole bunch of info(buell), which I am assuming is more for marketing, and some don't really care. Seems different whereever you go. I think it depends on how much they want to sell the bike, and if it's a demo it seems much easier to get them to come off of it...Cars over here are a different story, sometimes my wife and I dress up like were business folks, and act like were shopping for Mercedes: ) As long as she's standing there waiting I guess they assume I'm coming back. Has allowed me to get into $80,000 cars and put em through thier paces.

Smoky Mtn HD in Maryville Tn has a TT on the sales floor, right inside the front door with all of their other Buells, where they belong. Brad asked me to sit on it, and I was impressed.

It is all white and it feels more like it is a race bike compared to the Uly. I tip toe with my stock '06 seat, on the TT my feet were flat on the ground. The seat position was quite upright and felt like it could be ridden a long distance comfortably. The bars are from the City-X and feel right.

It seems that the TT has the best from the City-X and the Uly combined. If I didn't travel and ride double it would be the bike I'd have. I had a City-X for two years and loved it. The Uly is my perfect fit though!

If the Ulysses is like a great pair of boots, the TT would be like a really great pair of sneekers.

South Valley HD/Buell,Sandy UT, has a TT in white on the showroom floor.
It felt like a shorter Uly.
The only thing I did not like was the cosmetics, that white just doesn't do it for me.

Test ride Test ride......Farrows Does not do demo rides for the average customer. I had to drive to a Buell demo event 600 miles to drive one.

I know I am an average guy who asked and was told no, we don't do test rides.

I second the Uly remark, add, with lower bars.

I saw it at California Buell/Harely, Harbor City,CA.
They have all their Buells at the front door, too.
What does that mean?

If you were to travel around the country stopping at many of the various HD Buell dealerships, the ones that generally are succeeding with the Buell brand put them up front where they can be seen. Those that aren't usually put them in the back by the restrooms to show how much they care.

I'm not sure if it is a measure of how much they care, but at the one here in Cbus, they are all in the front window, which is nice compared to some of the other places I've been. Used to be thier parts department was terrible on knowledge and parts ordering but it is getting better from what I understand...Still I bet 10 harleys go out the door for each buell...

I've been very happy with Farrow's parts guys! I've been in there ordering parts for my 00 cyclone once a week for a month now.

They don't even have the manual for the 00 (they start at 02 in the Buells) But they haven't hesitated or shown any negativity towards doing all they can (going through different books and different programs on there computer) to find the parts for me. They always seem to come up with the right parts.

Back on track:
They still don't have the TT on the floor! I didn't bother asking, since I just saw it at the show.

Mike who are you dealing with. I have been dealing with a young guy....well for back there, and he seems to not mind ordering buell parts. The last time I was at Farrows (last week and yes I am still riding) a Sales guy came up and talked to me about my bike asked some questions about my exhaust and how I liked it. I was surprised to say the least.

Ceejay....I am gonna bet the ratio is closer to 30 or 40 to one. 3% of Harley sales.

if that is true, wow is about all I can say. Do people ride them because I don't see that many on the roads...

I may have to start going down there again if it is working out and Daves is leaving. Not that some of the folks here can't or won't do a good job, but I would like to support local places if they can handle it...

If you have any problems at the parts counter, just ask for Jeff Varney. He is the parts Manager and does a great job of looking into the Buell stuff.
