So I was finally flip thru the Issue of Street Chopper that came in the mail the other day. And I come across this feature Apparently taking your chopper down a dirt road makes it a "Motard Chopper." The article starts out "It's an old standby for us to end bike features with '...and since the project was completed, he/she's ridden the tar out of it.' Usually this means along the highways and byways interconnecting the continental US, but in this case 'riding the tar out of it' takes an extreme twist: dirt riding." - Mark Masker "Street Chopper" The article states that the builder of the chopper, Aaron Greene of Paramount Custom Cycles, rides the bike everywhere including down dirt roads. Looking at the chopper I kinda doubt that he does this often. The rear fender of the ridge is all but touching the 250 tire, as is the front fender. And if even the smallest pebble was to get stuck in the shallow grooves of the tires those fenders would be noticeable chipped and scarred. Not to mention how well that triple velocity stack would filter out the dust from a dirt road romp. There's a close up shot of the stack in the article and there's not even a screen in it. Ten minutes down the old dirt trail and the internals of that engine would be virtually sandblasted. |

I saw this guy on PCH bouncing along on a turd like the one in the picture. He was wearing gold framed sunglasses. Raybans I think. He looked real badass. Right |

I have a road out my way, 6 miles with 66 corners, all dirty and bendy, off the side of a canyon. That rake trail and stretch, with forward controls and a long wheel base good for the dirt? Not without a support truck. Still trying to find the motard element to this bike... I certainly will not be reading the article on it. Chopper-> Bobber-> Flat Track-> Motard-> next new build craze ??1!? Side hacks |

No doubt this will be followed up by a "road racing" chopper and an "adventure tourer" chopper... |

At first I thought this was a joke. Everyday I find more and more "motorcycle magazines" that are just rags. |

Natex...that is nice shot bro! Something interesting on this thread.. and for Hugh I have bad news, one of our clients is working on something very similar to that, powered by a twin rotary engine that is reported to produce 175 HP...so unfortunately it may be a reality in the near future..I will post a picture as soon as our client allows. |
