Got my S1 home yesterday, thanks to Bud Curtis at Hal's HD/Buell ... He wouldn't let me ride it home ... new Dunlops and impending bad weather .. OK .. I guess I'll live without riding it home is what I thought .. Once I got the bike off the truck, I took it around my cul de sac just so I could say I rode it, and my pant leg gets caught and rips on the front pulley .. Great - those were my good jeans ... (key word - were) Anyway .. about 3:30 I came home from working to get the bike, within 2 hours the temps dropped about 15 degrees ... OUCH it hurts that cold, stopped to get gas ... and the dollar amount comes out to one messed up set of numbers ... $6.66 Wish I had my camera for that .. ok . I drop off the bike, get the car and go back to work, (mind you I haven't slept since Thursday night .. ) All the while thinking about the couple odd things that happened since taking delivery of my bike .. 1. ripped pant leg 2. 15 degree drop in temp (had to be like 20 degrees) 3. 666 showing up on the gas pump Should I have not bought this bike ? I come home around 11 last night, did I go to bed ? nope - went out to the garage, stared at the bike for about a half hour, then I actually scrounged up a bit of energy and started doing my thing with the S1 .. cleaning and polishing, this will take a while, but I was able to do test sections all over .. Now if you saw the pics I posted when I bought it ... remember them - because the after pics are going to blow ya away , I was even surprised how some things turned out .. I will get pics up after it's done, only had time and energy to do lil bits here and there .. I finally realized that the bike just needed time in my garage before being taken out .. Times like this I love having a detailing business, and can say I love what I do ... |

Tattoodn, Yep, three "signs" that quick? Something going on there. Better send that thing down here and let me keep it a while. You know. Just to be on the safe side. No?, well, I'd prob just get it dirty anyway. I think, it's just balancing your scorecard, three little neg's compared to having that S1 to stare at, actually in your garage? I think your still ahead man. Waiting on "after" shots. But just in case, ROTZARUCK!!!!}}} |

She's probably a little testy after sitting up in shop for some time. I'm sure she'll be okay after you get on and ride the devil out of it! Glad to hear you got er home and looking forward to some dialed in pics! |

Wow, I can't beleave how you got three such great, positive signs on the first day? 1.) ripped jeans = S1 jests want's to rip it up. That to me sounds like a good thing? 2.) 15*temp drop = Your gona love this cold hard steal, be a cold day in hell before ya forget bout that S1. Its all good. 3.) 666 = I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints, you got a bad bad bike and thats realy cool when it comes to M/C's. Perspective thats all, jest how ya look at things.

Did I not WARN you it was gonna drop in temp rapidly? Commuting to work this time of year has taught me a thing or two |

Danny ... put so eloquently !! I think I'm going to have to agree with you ... a little change in perspective is a good thing sometimes ! Steve .. yea, you warned me ... but haven't you figured out I'm one of them hard headed ones ? Gotta learn everything the hard way I guess. Oh .. Rotzaruck - it wouldn't be fair to your fairly new M2 if you brought another stable mate in ... luckily for me, my M2 is pretty much done, ready to be enjoyed, so I have time for this new bike - so I think I will hold on to the S1 ... but thanks for the offer - how's your bike coming anyway? |
