62.2 inch wheelbase? I know that more goes into handling then wheelbase, but that seems a little long. |

K1200R isn't as much about handling as it is about "point and shoot". |

That bike will also eat fast sweepers alive. Get the speed up and there's little need to slow down unless the road gets "Buell Gnarly." |

I went on a BMW test ride at Americade last year - The BMW bikes are definately built for higher-speed turns, ala Autobahn. They are certainly slab runners, but the do it VERY well. I haven't ridden a K bike, but I did ride an R1200S that euphoria to ride, but noticeably less flickable in slower-speed turns than an XB. |

Ah, yes, the R1200S, my favorite BMW. Just love those "boxer" motors, the only twin I would replace the XB12R with. What's "SWEET" in German? |

If you painted an R1200S porcelain white, it could very easily be mistaken for a urinal. |

I have heard the BMW's steer VERY hard at parking lot speeds. I can't wait for there new line of 650's comes out! I'm going to go look at them at the show tomorrow! |

"I have heard the BMW's steer VERY hard at parking lot speeds." I've had three and never noticed that. I can do full lock turns on the HP2 and it's got a lot of steering lock. Crusty, come on man, lighten up |

The K1200R is absolutely stunning, and even more so when fully kitted out in carbon (available from us if you want it ).
The race version is even nicer. This is the one ridden by Rico Penzkofer (remember him from Daytona?) in the BMW Power Cup series.
It may not turn as quick as the XB but you won't see it for dust once you get to a straight of any description |

"I have heard the BMW's steer VERY hard at parking lot speeds." I have a R1200RT and it does seem "heavy" at parking lot speed. It is because of the tire size 120/70 ZR17 I think. I could be wrong. I am thinking my XB9S had the same size front as the RT1200RT. It felt lighter, but then again the XB is 200 lbs. lighter. |

When I first saw one and sat on it, I was like, "Goddamn that bike is long." Guess I am spoiled on the compact dimensions of the Buell. --Sean |

I think it looks great! And I love the Igor style headlights! And about the 650's, I wasn't talking about the F650's... I was talking about the new X lines. |

My co-worker has one. Talk about a land missle. He's really happy with it. While were parked side by side we draw a large crowd. |

Sorry, I don't have a digital camera yet. I'll get some pictures on our next ride IF IT EVER STOPS RAINING!!! Sorry about that...I've never gone more than 3 days with out riding. I do live in Southern California. I'll figure out how to get some pictures posted. |

You California guys keep sending rain to the Valley of the Sun! Keep up the good work. (And you think Californian's can't drive in the rain! Try the west valley!)(I won't even mention the east valley.) Can't wait to see the pictures as sort of comparison of size (length). |

The KR is a mile longer. Its a little taller too. My local news station talks about local fog like its a major storm. Funny in a sad way. |
