I don't think its to early to start talking about Rolling Thunder. I go every year and I will be leading a ride from Columbus OH this year that will leave on Thursday morning. I am going to go out of Columbus via 33 to 50 East to DC. Anyone on any bike is welcome to go. FYI this is a all day ride rain or shine and if you are not a experienced group rider, you may want to meet us in DC. I will be staying at the Holiday Inn at Chantilly. http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/pc/1/en/hotel/cty va I have lunch covered Thursday at my folks house in WV. Free food, Good ride, Great event. I did rftw from LA to DC last year on my Uly. The only coast to coast Buell out of LA as far as I could tell. Three of us grouped up and went wide south going back and wide north coming home. Did 22 states and 7700 miles in one trip. Not a record but a LOT for me! Not a typical Bueller kind of trip either with many days of sun up to sun down 80 mph superslabing. All the same worth the trip. Sadly, it looks like we will not make it this year. I gotta get off my butt and post it in the tail section one of these days. I love to see the Jarhead that salutes every bike from noon until the last bike passes him about 1530 or later. |
