Bohn armour....... http://www.bohnarmor.com/crusader.php I will be replacing my Joe Rocket gear with this in the spring. Far as does it work????? IMHO the armour needs to fit snuggly so it doesn't move around, My rocket gear does not fit tight enough and the armour tends to float around the inside of the jacket and pants. I worry about landing or sliding and the armour not being in the right spot to protect me. I have not tried on the bohn armour but it looks like it fits snuggly. My expectation for the armor is buy me time while I stop sliding or tumbling..... The hard armor may save broken bones or maybe prevent a penetration. |

there's a thread in the KV (apparal, I think) where there is much good data -- Henrik has done a great deal of research, so put it to use (he's pretty detailed about this stuff -- I think you'll learn a great deal from the thread) like everything else, there's good, bad and indifferent products available, and, sadly, like everything else, price is not the only idicator of quality . . . . do some homework -- buying armor should be one of th emore cerebral purchases you make, I'm thinkin |

Check out planet-knox.com. Knox armor is level II CE rated and as far as I know, the best money can buy. I myself ride in leathers equipped with level II shoulder, elbow, and knee armor. To this I added the Knox Cross-Sport Shorts and the Gilet Air back/chest protectors. You'll shell out about $450 USD including tax and shipping, but why settle for less than the best when it comes to your safety gear. ATGATT |

Doesn't look like the Bohn stuff is CE approved. Making me rethink my choice. |

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/229094.html?1158866009 I don't claim to know how well the Bohn stuff works, but the fact that they stole a design from a manufacturer they worked with, labeled it CE approved without any testing and after being busted for it advertised yet another product as CE approved without testing, all makes me hesitant to buy any of their stuff. Also make sure you know what type of material is used for impact reduction/protection. The honeycomb material is one-shot-only. But armor *does* work ... I've crashed enough to realize the value of good gear Henrik |
