The best by far was one of the simplest. The number 46 theme. That chrome thing looks ridiculous. Polished alloy on a trials bike maybe. But chrome? Bathroom accessory for the poor. Rocket | ||

Rocket... the chrome is not chrome, but rather a paint job made to look like chrome reflecting a particular scene. A cool concept, and there is a lot of neat detail. I like two of the top three a lot! | ||

Ducati's GP7 has some chrome...  Carbon fibre/titanium/kevlar is so last year dahling. | ||

Reep, I am aware of the process, but I stand corrected. Fake chrome - which is even worse. Hell dude, I was chrome plating plastic parts for my chopper when I was in nappies. Rocket | ||

Reep there really isn't a paint that would give a real good chrome effect. But it can be plated. The paint work though afterward would be a huge task. | ||

I think what Bill was getting at is, that the chrome is not the wonder but the "view" reflected in the chrome is. The devil's in the details. | ||

That is often the case, but of course, as it is with most anything, if you have the $$ most anything is possible. I think the design could be done on a bike, but it wouldn't look much like what you see on there. Nothing you'd want to put in production that's for sure. | ||
