How do you title a bike you put together from scrap or spare parts? |

Sometimes the engine ser# comes into play. Can't recall exactly how off-hand but it came up when I inquired about swapping frames on my S3 and re-titling it. It also was an issue when looking for a 'junk' engine case to do mock-ups with. |

It depends on your state. In Wisconsin, we need a bill of sale from either the frame OR the motor. Then it's just a matter of building it to street legel specs. Then having a state patrol officer sign off that it meets the requirements and is street legal. You should be able to contact your local DMV for your state's requirements. |
