Well.....My baby is dead. Here is the story: Last Saturday myself and a few 3%ers went for a ride in North Ga. About 1hr in I started hearing some rattling. I thought it might be the muffler strap from doing a few wheelies at the beginning of the ride. It progressively got louder until all of a sudden BOOM......lost power and coasted to the side of the road. I tried to start in back and it sounded like a butter knife in a garbage disposall. Not good! So, I rode Biotch on Sanchez's Uly 1hr back to Metro Atlanta...picked up his truck and hauled it home....... This past Friday...We had a 3%er party at Sanchez's house and proceeded to tear her down to find out the root of the problem:
Duch_htr badtouching my bike
She screwed me so now I'm screwing her
How many 3%ers does it take to get to the center of a XB?
Silverbullet on his bad azz Choppa.
SAD
Here is the problem
The Piston bearings froze making the two pistons one! Yes there was oil in it and nothing else seemed to be wrong. All scheduled matinence was done as well as the oil changed every 2500 mile. Switched to Synthetic after 1k. You may ask..."why is it your last ride?". Well, I have a baby on the way in July, Need to get a new car for my wife and we are looking for a new house. Fixing the bike in not even on the priority list. Its a sad day but family comes first. I have decided to sell the bike as a whole. If would make a good Track bike/projectbike if you can put about $1000 into it. I'm asking $3000.00. The 3%ers get first dibs but if no takers then its wide open for ya'll here on the BadWeb. I'll be back on a Buell in no time. Just got to get a few things situated first so don't count me out. Here is me and my XB in all her glory:

I'm sure the Badweb family can contribute to the "fix sunshine fund". If at least 50 of us put 20 bucks into the pot...... I'm in, now one of you guys close by.. 3% guys set something up. |

DON'T get ride of the bike. You'll regret it. Having a 'lil one does not, and should not mean the end of riding. The wife and I didn't get our 1st Buell until after we had our Son. He's just about old enough to ride with us now. Set up a paypal account. I'll throw a few bucks your way as well. |

Steve...its not the end of riding just "this" bike. I'll start over new when the time is right. I would never in a million years quit riding. Please...no money. You guys are very generous and I would expect nothing less of the Badweb. The coolest people hang out here. I'm not a charity case by any means. I have the money to fix, I'm just choosing not to. There are plenty of other people in our community that could use the cash more than me. |

I'd be in for $20...put a "Help Save Sunshine's Bike" jar out at MBIV and I think you'd be surprised how fast it fills up... prop it up on the bar each night and it will fill twice as fast... |

You just want a new bike. Your 9SL is an 03 right? With how many thousands of miles? I think it is time to upgrade. This looks like an excellent opportunity to acquire a brand spanking new 12S or perhaps a TT |

I have a baby due in July too, and my finacee is the best, she knows how much my Buell means to me and I don't think she'd let me get rid of it. In fact, our situation is similar, as we are looking for a new car for her too right now. I'd spot ya 20 just to see you keep that awesome machine! And congrats on the little one! --Sean |

Will, I've been where you are - three times. With that in mind I'm in for $20. I'm more than happy to help, but maybe you should have no say in the matter, and someone else collect on your behalf? Rocket |

Again guys....Love the spirit but PLEASE NO CASH! I will not take a dime from any of you. I'm not hurt, have unpaid bills or short on cash. Just choosing NOT to fix it. Metalstorm.....you got it, '03 9SL 15K miles. When I do spend the cash it will be a new or newer bike. Again guys...I feel the love and it means alot...really.....but please no cash. |

That would be pretty cool. There are probably plenty of discarded-but-perfectly-fine XB9 engine parts laying in people's garages that could be used. The most fun I had at MBII was helping to put a new rear engine mount in U4euh's XB9 after his off-road excursion. This would be even better.

Will, I know it must be hard as hell not to take up on these offers. I understand your decision. I'll be missing you when we're riding and ripping up the twisties, and looking forward to when you're back on two. Y'all, Will has a lot going on, we have to respect his decision. It wasn't one that came easily, let's not make it harder on him them it already is. Will, you're like a brother, and it's real hard not to drag you kicking and screaming to buy parts and re-build the pony. But, like I said, I understand... We do have Will set up for MB-IV! He'll be ripping up the twisties with us! |

Glitch...thanks man...same here. I'll be punishing one of the demos or SMHD/Buell shop bike at MBIV Stealth.....your tellin' me. Can you believe that it was yellow to begin with. After I purchased it from CLown he said I could take it home with the yellow body work until the black came in......I let it sit at the dealer until it was black. You weren't gonna catch my narrow azz on a yellow bike. (No offense to all you yellow XB owners...just not my style) |

Hey Will, any time you wanna go with us, I always have the Blast and you're totally welcome to borrow it if you have a need. It's Black. And it ought to be almost as fast as a yellow one with your skinny azz on it! |

I like the idea of putting it back together at MBIV with donated parts. Do it like a Discovery Channel thing in the parking lot. That bike just looks too good to end up as parts. |

If you ever part out this bike I think there would be many people that would jump at these parts. |
