So to post images in a thread can I just insert it from my C: drive or does it have to be on an accessible server somewhere? |

You can insert them from your C drive provided the image is within the dimension limits and file size limit that the board allows. I just did a quick search and can't find those limits listed, but they're relatively small and the system will tell you what they are in an error message if you try to exceed them. You can download a free JPEG optimizer program from xat.com that will dramatically reduce the file size while maintaining a good appearance. Info on the required formatting for inserted images is here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/disc us.cgi?pg=formatting#images |

There is a maximum file size (60k? I can't remember) and a maximum dimension (700 pixels wide?). Photoshop elements (you have to buy it, but its a decent piece of software) has a "save for web" feature that makes it easy to get everything right. |

From the Microsoft website, Image Resizer. One of the "Power Toys" for Windows XP. Here's a link to the download (521K so not too bad even on dialup) Here's the page on Microsoft.com with info When you install this, all you have to do is right click an image on your computer and then click "resize picture". It's that easy! Sam |
