nevr, I forgot your low question-I think it's a high, I'm a low, I tip toed my old Z1 without a lot of trouble, but my legs were about three times as strong then-long long ago. I've been trying to decide whether to let the air out of the tires or get elevator boots. Really think I'll be okay once I get used to it. And once your moving, it makes no difference anyway tat, thanks for the pic, I'll get becky to take some pictures and figure out how to post them if the sun ever shines again, we can play "whats missing from this picture",I don't even know yet whats missing, what's stock or not, no history info at all, there's nothing around the headlight except some brackets and wire connectors, I see yours has a rear fender, I'm jealous, but I don't guess it's overly important right now, I would like to figure out where to put some turn indicators on it so when I'm flogging that guy that runs over me I can at least say " didn't you see that blinker"? can't wait to see the pictures and as far as the two up thing goes the old lady feels more comfortable on the bikes with me than in a cage, truck or pt. just getting to the point of letting her drive the cages when we use them. as far as the daughter was concerned, she was hit from the rear so i couldn't blame her, and she got a good bit of road rash and some scarring. at least she was wearing her full face cause she did see the pavement up close and personal. i was able to get the same bike and color out in lafayette, LA although it is a standard and not a low of which my daughter can't ride now. but we have the blast so she can get back on that when ever she want's. i do have some parts left over from stripping it out when the let me have the bike so if you want i can make you a list of what i have left. |

bomber, now I'm all torn again, T&S's has more parts than mine and yours has fewer..mmm..they both look great, maybe i'll just hold up until i knock some more stuff off and act like i did it on purpose. nevr, i'm glad she wasn't hurt too bad, thats scary-but glad you got the bike replaced--lows only seem to pop up every now and then, woe to us short legged types, Becky's posting some pic's "what's missing from this picture?" any obsevations would be appreciated, I know the left control switch thing is broken, clutch perch & lever, busted, but it works, for now.Thought one valve cover leaked, but pic looks like the other one is too. But it does have genuine schwinn grips. Will different year model tanks fit? what the heck is that little tube? cable? that sticks out just behind the air box, with a little knurled knob on it,more DQ's (dumb questions, I gotta million of 'em) Thanks Ed |

The knob sticking out behind the air cleaner is the idle adjuster. I run my idle fairly low, like 900 to 1000 when warmed up. When I first got my M2, my eyeballs would rattle at a stoplight. |

doesn't look like alot is missing. nothing that's gonna keep it from running, just appearance like the bug screen and the belt guard. i'll check and see if i have the belt guard still and if i do i'll let you know. if you see anything that is not visible let me know and i'll see if i have it or not. i have the bug screen to but it's on the blast. if you find one that someone doesn't want i'll swap it to you. |

yeah you know how it goes. it was the first bike i bought brand new. 0 miles. I had pulled it apart and put it back together again. I knew it inside and out, and all of it 's characteristics. I think I finally had it looking just like I wanted. The only thing left to do was go into the engine mods. So i was at work one day standing in the deputies room before we were going to go out to work and a Sgt. came in and said he had a bike for sale. I had been tossing the idea of selling mine ( not too sure why). So I spoke out, "i got a bike I'll sell you". Well my other Sgt. said what is it? He comes by the house that day, I started the engine... when he heard it it was over. He came back with the check. at least i still get to see her and ride with her every once in a while. Then i was out a bike. I frantically made a call to the local HD shop who decided they are going out of buell business, and they had a new 05' XBscg, and get this it was blue, my favorite color. They cut me a deal I couldn't turn down. So I was without a bike for about 17 hours. My M2 has been gone for about 4 months now. The XB makes it's power at a higher RPM. It's just gonna take some getting used to. Good luck with your M2. If you take care of her she'll take care of you. If you have any questions I'm in south ga. |

that was all i could find that would do you any good for right now. i still have a wiring harness, triple tree, oil tank, front fender with bracket, discs(front and back), front caliper line and cylinder with lever and some other odds and end. if you think you might need any of this stuff just let me know. i can't think of why you need my address for anything but to send the stuff back of which i don't need. if you can't use any of the stuff give them to the next guy who might. and if you think you were going to give me anything for that stuff it was no big deal. if there's any thing else you can use to put your bike in road worthy condition it's yours. |
