Since the Badweb has been down during my lunch break, I have been cruising eBay and found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-panhead-bobber -by-santiago-chopper_W0QQitemZ280071064418QQihZ018 QQcategoryZ10062QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I thought it was quite an interesting use of Buell parts. |

Interesting bike! Strange mix of styles, IMO. He mentions the "one of a kind frame softail replica 1936" but it's a swingarm/wishbone thing - That swingarm was 1958 to 1972 and the 'wishbone' style of frames were all rigids and 1948 to mid 1955. 1936 frames were straight leg rigids on the Knucklehead EL's, and the various 'U' models. Gotta call it something, I guess! It's for sure "one of a kind". I kind of like it! Bet it's a hoot to ride! AL |

Throw a sidecar on it & I'm sold. Oh wait, I don't have $38,000 I still think it would look pretty damn cool with a side hack attached though On edit: How ever, I don't think the passenger in the hack would enjoy those pipes much (Message edited by Metalstorm on January 18, 2007) |

Wow! I have an appriciation for most kinds of bikes, and most customs... but I really find that one looking like it was just thrown together with a bunch of parts someone found. I really don't like it at all. But yes, interesting use of Buell parts. |

It has a strong minimalist appeal - with a bit of historic personal quirkiness/eclecticism - actually nicely done. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Hey, it's got a BIG A$$ BEER CAN on it. WTF. Why doesn't my XB have a BIG A$$ BEER CAN on it? Here I am upgrading my tires and exhaust and such and all I should have done is add a BIG A$$ BEER CAN to it. Then I could be cool too. |

I think the beer can is the oil filter housing. As near as I can tell from the copper tubing runs from it anyway. I think the concept was that, since they couldn't hide anything as prominent and hideous as that, they decided to disguise it as a draft beer tap. Yeah, Bud draft, now that's a beer that really sells things. Instant headache for and the only difference in the beer out of the tap and into the urinal is the temperature. That one might be the nominee for "Most Clueless eBay Seller Representing the Most Clueless Custom Chopper Builder". Jack |

Wow sweet sidecar rigs. I once fell in love with an old WWII Norton with a sidecar attached. I think it still had the original paint. The engine ran well but leaked oil. It was for sale but the price was to high. I had beautiful dreams of me riding down the road with my dog Shiva (1/2 Akita, 1/4 Siberian Husky & 1/4 Wolf) in the hack exploring the continent together. |
