Our average age surprised me too. I would have never guessed sportbikes appealed to anyone other than youngsters and crazy folks like me. I'm 34 and figured I'd be an old fart on the Buell scene before I started getting to know you guys. I'm pleasantly surprised to know that I'm not surrounded with squids here. I'm betting the average age would be lower for the rice burner sportbike crowd. At least that's all I ever see riding them anyway. Don't get me wrong though. I'd love to have something like a GSXR1000 as a 2nd bike or a track bike. |

well I am 49. When Bubba worked at Tilleys he said alot of younger riders would come in and want a Buell, but the insurance was to high.As far as rice burner crowd being younger I have a lady friend who is 50 and rides a souped up CBR 600.And she will put most younger riders to shame! |

Redefine420, I will be turning 25 in july. I have got one question for ya. Who did did you get your driving ability from. I know we get a nice discount on our insurance when we turn 25. I was just wondering where my instant driving ability would come from. Did you get yours in the mail? I cant wait. |

You guys are right about the rice crowd. I just bought a 04 R6 and the R6 forum just did an age average. The average came out to be in the range of 20-23, which makes me average there while here I guess I would be considered quite young. |

I'm 39 right now, but purchased my S2T when I was 28. I'll more than likely keep it until I die. |

I would say 42, the answer to life, the universe, everything as we know it. Actually it is more like 38 for our dealership. Most are in 30s, acouple 40s, and one over 50, two in their twenties. I would say that it is a more experience rider that has had japanese in the past and is returning to riding, wanting a bike that is quick, sporty, but not uncomfortable. |
