I stopped by Iron Pony looking for a superbulb today. I ended up leaving with a brand new jacket and pants set. I was really not happy with what I had, it did not fit well, was not comfortable, and didn't look good. I wasn't planning on buying anything yet, but I could not turn down the deal I found! I wanted a set that I could wear all year, riding out west in the middle of summer, riding in the mountains in the early spring, and also riding around in the dead of winter. The jacket is the grey Teknic Stinger:
quote:600 Denier soft touch cordura outer shell construction with ARMORTEX overlays on shoulders and elbows Anatomical pre-curved 2/3 length sports cut. 2 chest and 2 arm zippered vents, and 1 rear exhaust vent for variable air flow 100% waterproof Hydroguard liner. Airmesh lined collar with neoprene edge and front CE approved Knox KFP1 armor in shoulders and elbows. CE approved Knox TP2 armor in back Teknic hidden triple storm flap over front zipper 4 front pockets, 1 rear cargo pocket 2 internal pockets Silver airmesh lining that is non-allergenic, and comfortable. Zip out full sleeve quilted liner. Genuine YKK silver nylon zippers 8" zipper and belt loop connectors. Anthracite Scotchlite 3M reflective piping.
It fit me very well, and is very comfortable. I also like the silver. I like longer jackets like this over the shorter 'sportier' jackets. I also got the Black Teknic Sprint Pants.
quote:600 Denier cordura outer shell construction. Anatomical sport cut. 100% waterproof, windproof and breathable Powerskin liner. Zip out quilted 5oz polyfill liner. Double layer of cordura in seat and knees for abrasion and tear resistance. Genuine YKK zippers. Zippered gusset opening with rainflap. Armor shield dual density foam in hips. Plastic hard cup armor in knees 8" zipper connector. Adjustable and removable shoulder straps. Foot stirrups.
Both zip together. Both were on sale like crazy! Got both for just over a hundred bucks! I have a decent set of waterproof boots, and lightweight pair of waterproof gloves. I should be about set up for this season. |

Sale's deffinately still going on! Got it from Iron Pony! If you're near Columbus OH I'd recomend stopping in... The sale's online too, but it's harder to get sizing right online. |

I just bought some leather riding pants from Teknic. I wanted something racy enough for the track days and these fit the bill quite nicely... Teknic Chicane Leather Pant
I wear 32 x 34 Levi's and their 32 waist size fits pretty good. The legs and butt are a little loose, but that might have more to do with my chicken legs. |
