I'm 46, and ride a 9R and a cherry '92 Ninja ZX-7. Between the two, I prefer the Buell, but I still love my Ninja. I'm also thinking about getting a cruiser. I think Buell owners tend to be older than your average crotch-rocket crowd. Too bad, them young whipper-snappers don't know what they're missing! Still, I would imagine Buell would love to get some of that younger sportbike crowd into their dealerships. |

Court, Road_Thing and I will refrain from entering data into this discussion -- it would be a shame to skew the numbers that far |

>>>>Court, Road_Thing and I will refrain from entering data Please . . . don't make it hurt. I was sitting in an engineering class last night with all my fellow students. The Professor, making a point, uses the phrase "well, at least we won't see it in your and my lifetime" as he nods and motions to me!! I look around, right, left, behind and note that I am the ONLY person over 22 in the classroom.
quote:In a soldier's stance, I aimed my hand At the mongrel dogs who teach Fearing not that I'd become my enemy In the instant that I preach My pathway led by confusion boats Mutiny from stern to bow.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.
I'm just VERY experienced. . .

it don't HAVE to hurt, Brer Court -- except, of course, on damp days ;-} I get to work every day with a bunch of REALLY bright folks, many of whom are, ehem, considerbly less experienced than i, and who do not act like an adjuct to the local weather forecasting service -- big fun, learning from them, ain't it? |

Right now, I'm 26. I got my Buell when I was 20. You couldn't ask for a better group of owners. I've worked demo events, done track days and watched the XB-RR race at Daytona. Its amazing that a brand of motorcycle can become a part of your identity. Thats how I feel anyway. |

I'll be 55 in a couple of months. Owned my first bike in 1971 (Harley-Davidson - 48UL1999) My wife was first to own a Buell - I got her a 'leftover' 96 S2T for her birthday in 97. She caught a bad dose of Buellitis from Court C. at the Love Ride in 96, where she was a volunteer. Dissed Lorenzo Lamas and his "Backstage Pass Problem" to take Court up on his offer to meet Erik. Enthusiastic SOB's (Canfield/Buell - a force not to be denied!) got us both 'hooked'. She's 5 yrs my sr. so that makes her....uhh...39!! Yeah! 39! 55 + 39 = 94, 94/2 = 47 There - factor in a 47 to your "average age" computation! AL |
