There are Buell vs Ducati arguments online all the time, on various forums! Here's a quote from a very recent discussion over on MCUSA.com: "It is true that the Ducati Supersport line is not really competitive with anything except the buells (which the DS will still leave the buells fighting to keep in visual range if there are corners involved)." In the same thread (which started as a discussion of the new 1098), there are a few suggesting that Buell should start using the V-Rod engine (that again!) to "answer" Ducati and their 1098... BTW, I did respond to the first poster...I am one of the few Buell defenders on that board... |

I had no idea...just having the argument is good I think. If people mention the Buell then it is becoming more of a well thought of machine. Sweet thanks! |

A Ducati Supersport leaving Buells if corners are involved? Man, there are some real delusionists out there in Ducati land. |

Since 1990 and this 1990 is a fine handling example.

Beauty on two wheels, even with the stock airbox and rear hugger. Buell has yet to top the art of that motorcycle. |

Beauty on two wheels, even with the stock airbox and rear hugger. Buell has yet to top the art of that motorcycle. It's pretty, but the S3-T was the most beautiful motorcycle ever made. |

My friend Steve who I bought my 916 from, has it in his keep. It was bought on eBay last week for £840. It's a shame the pound is so high against the dollar as any conversion wouldn't express how cheap this SS was. It came with spares too, and a full mega documented history as well as manuals etc. Interestingly though, the person who did buy it, Tom, is a Ducati SS nut and lives in Albuquerque. He's planning on coming over to England in the summer and giving it a once over, then he's off to tour Europe on it. Here's the SS speedo - a clue to the cheap price perhaps?

And for you Liquor, here's my 916, that makes my heart pound out of my chest when thrashed down the B1257.
