Feb 2007. Ping me offline if you have trouble getting a copy. The 750 was great fun but a fairly fussy thing to actually own and use. It sounded like an early tuber review... the kind of "this was absolutely worth it because it was so much fun, but it was some work". They said the 910 seemed to address a bunch of issues. |

Thanks. I should be able to get a Feb copy. Yeah I rode the 750 and it was so good except below 4000 it was dead. Apparently an eprom is available and makes a big improvement. I chased a sale on a little used 06 910 back in October. I was trying to steal it at a paltry £7000. The seller had just got into business and needed quick capital so I thought I was in with a chance, until someone gave him £8000. The seller had owned several 916 through to 999, and the 750 F4 MV as well as 750 and the 910 Brutale. It was great talking to him as he absolutely raved about the 910 despite liking the difference of the 750's power and higher rev ceiling, he advised to go 910. We'll see. Finances might dictate a used 750 if I'm to hold onto my S1W and 916. Thanks again Bill. Rocket |

Haven't chimed in yet re: Buellinachinashop. I'm callin' BB, or Bull Butter. I am sure he has seen a watercooled plant for 2009 or 10, but I don't see it on Buell. How long was the XBRR being made? 5-10 years? How long have people been calling for Water in a Buell? 2 years? Nah, I don't think they'll be bringing in a water cooled that soon. |

In 2-3 years you'll be eating that Bull Butter. "Holy crap, China was right?!". I hope I'm not banned by then to see those words. |

I'm not too worried about it, actually. |

Hmmmmm, for somebody who wants to see a liquid cooled motor so badly, you sure don't seem want to see a liquid cooled motor. "V-Rod powerplant in the Long bike version" |

"But all the talk about a new engine make me want to table my plan to get a new bike (Uly vs Multi). Maybe I'll wait a while and see what comes out." And THAT, my friends, is why some mfgs want to keep secrets... wasn't that argument going on in this thread? |

I don't need something I can't get. Of course, when I wrote that, I wanted THE V-rod powerplant, not just a water-cooled Buell, since the V-Rod motor won't fit, and they COULD detune the XBRR, I say why bother? |

Pammy, HD announced that they were done with the 9's in 08, wouldn't that tell you that something else is coming not long after that? Harley could announce tomorrow that the new motor is coming and dealers would still sell out. Buell doesn't make enough bikes a year to keep all the dealers stocked all season as it is. |

BIACS, Doesn't it seem strange to you that at the same time you make your announcement, this 2000 or so cc motor coming from Harley? |

They've had the 12's for quite sometime now. Or are you suggesting they are going to replace the 9 with something similar? I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the offing of the 9 is a phase out... Like Ducati moving up to the 1098...No more 9's. |

And by the way...I am sure that something new is in the works, as it should be. Forward motion, you know. I just thought Jon's statement fit the argu...discussion in which you were a key player. Nothing more. |

Cochise...No, because it didn't know about the 9 being canceled. Pam...I know what they're going to do, but can't say. The last time I did, some folks got their panties in a bunch. |

While we are on the subject, Buell, why not take a look at the quasiturbine engine? It combines the good qualities of several engine designs. Good tq at low revs, good fuel economy, good power at high revs, can revs to the moon, high output per cc (8 power pulses per 720 degrees instead of the current 1), and it can be air cooled. The downside is that nobody has produced them except for in research at this point. They are selling the patent . http://quasiturbine.promci.qc.ca/ I'm a dreamer, but this configuration looks awesome. I love my current Mazda rotary, but I wish it had the qualities of this design. Oh yeah, they claim that it does not vibrate at all. Even if it does, as long as it stays single rotor, there will only be vibration on one plane. |
