Piece of cake! : )

That's a fair chunk of change sitting on that table. Especially what looks like a billet inner primary cover.

Actually, the stuff I make on my own, is easier than the stuff we make on a daily basis.

The stuff we mill here everyday is made out of expensive/tough to cut tool steel. I'd take milling that soft aluminum any day! : )

I wish I could show more stuff we make here. But I don't think our customers would appreciate it : )

Stainless aint much fun either, Steve have you ever machined wood ? A school chum of mine had some old barn planks and wanted a picture frame made from them great good fun.

Yup, I've done quite a bit of wood in the past, for my own "government jobs". The oak outlet & switch cover plates in my house were all designed, and milled by me. I didn't like the cheesy ones from the local home depot So I just modeled my own up.

I'll have to post some pictures when I get a chance.

And yes, I've done my share of Stainless. We do stainless a lot for the medical & food industry molds.

Yeah Dora that's some cool stuff there.

I love Billet aluminum. Easy to work with and easy on the tooling. Takes polishing well
and can be hard anodized or color anodized not to mention painted if needed.

And I still do old school manual machining since I lost access to the CAD & CAM machinery
at my old job.

I used to hate dealing with some of the exotic materials that we would run into prototyping
parts for General Dynamics, Solar Turbines and other customers. By contrast Aluminum alloy
is like working in wax or clay. It almost feels like you could mold it with your hands
after you've been working with the hard high carbon steels, and the like.
