when in B'ham, make sure to check out the huge sculpture of the god of fire, or iron, up on top of the mountain overlooking the city -- really big fun! |

Dora, If you're in Orlando Wednesday evening stop by the Barnie's Coffee and Tea location in Baldwin Park. We meet from 6-8. Rich included the thread with directions and address above. |

have seen the vulcan from afar. will make sure to appreciate it a bit more fully before heading out of town tomorrow. i have a breakfast meeting in birmingham and need to make 1 stop before i head toward orlando - so its unlikely that i will be in town before 9pm hope you guys have fun! on another note, i looked up PRI and wow what a great convention. i'm going to rustle up some credentials and take a peek at the show thursday or friday! I have to confess that I didn't remove the stickers from my bike last night when I got home. I promise to be cool and not embarrass you all when I arrive next week. It was great to meet you last night Doug and Dora. I hope you enjoyed yourselves. |

Next thing you know, Paul, you'll be ridin' a Goldwing with a stuffed bear bungied to the back - it's a slippery slope. Friends don't let friends act nerdy |

My Dad's last bike before he died was an old Kawasaki 440 LTD with a sissy bar and a large wicker basket strapped to the back. I hope he isn't rubbing off on me from that perspective. I was up until 1:00 AM last night removing the stickers after my sons' birthday party - thanks a lot!!!!! (Message edited by irideabuell on December 15, 2006) |

The first long distance trip I ever took on a bike was in about 1978-1979. I rode all the way to PA from FL with a friend from work who had a 440 LTD ( I rode a Yamaha 550 Seca). Nobody told us we weren't supposed to take off on a 3000 mile trip on 500cc bikes. Oh yeah - we were camping too, so we had sleeping bags, tent and all the other camping stuff. Wish I had some photos from that trip, but I don't think we had any room left for a camera |
