I'm part of a charity motorcycle ride that takes place every June in Green Bay. This past year, we had a lady donate her husband's motorcycle. We are getting ready to start a raffle that will end on the day of the ride. But we can't seem to agree on a value for the bike. Below are some of the specifics: 1992 Harley Davidson FLSTF “Fat Boy” 14,000 miles Performance upgrades (totaling over $4000 new): Edelbrock Performer Cylinder Heads Leineweber Cam & Spring Kit S&S Super E Carburetor Dyna 2000 Programmable Ignition & Single Fire Coil Ram Adjustable Push Rods RevTech Front & Rear Brake Calipers All work done in Sept. 1995 by Eau Claire Harley-Davidson. Bike has approx. 7000 miles since work was completed. It also has a H-D windshield, tons of trick chrome pieces (Kuryakyn levers, Ness grips, etc, etc, etc). There is a Dynorun sheet showing 82hp and 74lb of torque. So guys...what do you think it's worth? |

1.) Book value. Thats what ins co says its worth.(low) 2.) Trade in Value. Thats what dealer says its wouth.(very low) 3.) Dealer retail Value. Thats what dealer show room used says its worth.(very high) 4.) Street Value. Thats the going asking price in your local swapper/traider ads.(high) I would use #4 to set the $$$ value. - a few $$. |
