If it wasn't a Buell that would be a cool Idea... I would rather seen it done to a old car or bus filled with explosives! |

I am going to start a project, the name of which is tentatively Butcher My Pirelli Corsa III Tires. I own a brand new Pirelli Corsa III Tire. I love it, But,No one will buy it once bald. In order to get out from under my credit card debt of tires, I need to raise an exuberant amount of money (about $10K, ugh) to get the debt down so I can buy more tires. I do a lot of burn outs!! What I'm going to do is try to get an a$$ load of people to donate a couple bucks each to meet my payoff amount. What I will offer up in return to the masses is a video of me going to town on my bike from 1st gear to 5th gear killing this tire!!. I'm also going to speak to a local smoke out club with a Corsa III account w/ pirelli to have them check for defects after I blow half inch holes through the top and side of this tire. What I need from YOU are your videography and video editing skills. You need to have your own cameras and editing equipment. I'm not looking for Hollywood. All I want is, clear audio, clear video, clean edit, and in the end, a video you could sell product with. I can offer no money. What I do offer, if it's worth it to you, is creative control, your name on the video (I expect this to get a lot of internet/badweatherbikers attention) and a chance to kill some really good tires. There is no date set for this, as the plans are still being worked out. If this interests you, please get in contact with me so we can talk. I accept cash, checks, collateral, paypal, bidpay, and an other forms of payment you feel necessary. |

He probably got upset because he can't sell his bike for what he owes in his loan. He was probably one of these guys more in love with the idea of riding than actually riding. Either that or he though his 1200 would smoke his buddies (IL4) 600s in a straight line and got disappointed. Either way you can't sell a used bike for a new price, much less with interest from the loan added in as well. Depreciation sucks and this is probably his first encounter with a harsh reality. |

"I need to raise an exuberant amount of money" What he really needs to do is raise an EXORBITANT amount - because enthusiastic money isn't going to pay his bills... |

By the way, I am trying to pay off my house, and you should feel sorry for me getting into such a large commitment so please give me money so I don't have the responsibility of a payment. You can't have the house, but you CAN come and sit in my living room!! I also do not like to work, so please pitch in a few extra hundred dollars for my lifestyle fund. You can make a one time payment to me, or you can sign up for weekly or monthly contributions paid directly from your checking account. (Best option!) |

This was just bugging the hell out of me, why would someone want to shoot up a brand new Buell? Was he mad at it, did it hurt him, did it sleep with his wife? LOL, then, to come up with a really goofy idea of gathering up people from the neighborhood, charge them a couple of bucks a piece for a video of his Buell getting blown to sh*t. I'm not the greatest at math but at 2 bucks a head, it would take at least 5000 people + to get the loan paid off. And let's not forget the cost of each video tape, which puts him right back into the red (I don't think he has thought this through much). So I just had to send this guy an email asking what was up. Bellow is his response to me which I received just a few moments ago. I just shook my head and laughed when I first read it. I'm sure all of you here that reads it will do the same. To answer your question, I bought the bike after I had first seen a Triumph Speed Triple. The naked street fighter look really appealed to me. Sadly, Harley does not give test rides. The only way to demo a bike is during a Buell event and those are few and far between. There's nothing wrong with the bike. It's a 2005 Buell Lightning XB9SX. It's a really good bike for what it is. You see, I want to learn to do tricks and the bike just isn't powerful or designed for that. As such, I need to get out from under my loan and this is the most brilliant method I could think of. Thanks for the email! Ike |

Ok, someone needs to tell Craig Jones, Bubba Blackwell, and several other professional stunters that the xb9sx isn't powerful enough or well suited for stunting. Maybe he needs more practice on something less powerful to gain the skills he needs. Like a little dirt bike. So I was right on the second guess above. It wasn't faster than his buddies 600s so it has to go. Blame the bike, not his lack of skills. It's easier that way. "The bike just can't do it" riiiiiight. |

It looks like someone flagged the post and it is being removed.... Basically, this guy bought a Buell and now doesn't want it so he though that he could get people to give him money to pay the loan off. Then when it was paid off he would get some gun club to help him shoot it up. He would video-tape this and then sell the videos, I guess. Bummer that the link has been taken off, it was really quite funny! I almost sent him an email asking WTF about this, but was beaten to it! (Good work!) I can't believe he thinks it's not powerful enough to do tricks on??? Also, WHY would you buy a brand new bike to stunt ride on when you are LEARNING? You are going to mess it up in the learning process - might as well buy an older bike and perfect your skills before jumping in on a brand new bike.... I wonder if he tried something and got scared? It's possible... As for the demos, well I didn't have a problem getting a Buell to ride at the H-D shop here in town before I purchased my bike - I think that this guy's problem is that he isn't thinking far enough into his future to make good decisions. |

What I will offer up in return to the masses is a video of my neighbor going to town on my bike with a .50 BMG rifle. I'm also going to speak to a local gun club with a Class III (machine gun) license to have at after we punch half inch holes through the gas tank and engine. Here is the latest email from Ike! Truth be told, I never even considered parting the Buell. It is something I'd consider, except for a few reasons: 1) eBay assesses a fee based on the final sale price of the item and I don't care to pay them for that. A flat fee would be nice, but if an engine goes for a couple grand, piss on 'em, they're not getting a percentage of that. 2) There's no guarantees I'll be able to raise all $10k by parting. It's hard enough to save money as it is, let alone the money to make up for what I didn't make in the parting. 3) Blowing the bike up is going to be so much more satisfying. I looked into those two guys you mentioned and that's pretty cool. As for Craig's Lightning, I'm sure he's got the 1200cc bike and chances are, it's all tuned up. My bike can wheelie, but you've got to really strangle it. My usual method to get the front up is to peg the throttle to unload the shocks, come off and preload the shocks, then on the rebound, I peg it again and the front pulls up. Still, it's rare to get a good tall wheelie and I can't hold it up. The throttle is not resposive enough to tweak the front end in a wheelie. And I'm really not interested in putting more money into the bike to tune it up. I'd rather buy a GSX-R 750. Besides, the Lightning and the GSX-R cost the same, but the Jixxer is already faster and stronger than the Buell stock. However, yes, the Buell would stomp a Jixxer in a corner. I don't know what make sit that way, but practically any V-Twin sport bike will out perform an inline4 in the corners. But I'm really not interested in out cornering anyone else. To quote Ricky Bobby, "I just wanna go fast." I bought the bike at Chandler Harley Davidson. I had requested a test ride, but they don't offer rides as they'd gotten sued (and somehow lost) by a guy who they let test ride and he wrecked. Chances are, he didn't have a class M and they didn't ask. I'm not sure if a shot with the .50 would detonate the bike. I plan on topping off the fuel in hopes it'll explode when shot, but I doubt it'll do any flips. If anything, I fear the .50 will knock it over. I mean, I've seen videos of the military demoing a new model Barret and they were hitting a 600# safe and it was jumping up, clearing the ground. Anyway, I gotta jet. I'll talk to you later, take care. Ike |

In other words it takes too much skill to stunt a Buell and he doesn't have time to learn, he just wants to stunt. (brain donor) He says he doesn't understand the difference between how twins and 4s perform in the corners, but he just wants to go fast. It would be waaay too hard to do all of this learning stuff when all he wants to do is show off his "Mad skilz" in front of his home-boyz, after all the bike does all of the work doesn't it? I hope he has access to good healthcare if thats the attitude he's got. |

Oh yeah, he's been watching too many movies if he thinks the bike will explode just because a 50 bmg round hits it. It will make a hell of a hole, but explosions like you see in the movies are pure hollywood. Then again judging by his other brilliant comments I'd bet we aren't talking about a Mensa candidate here. (like he's going to get 10k for a used Buell any way he goes at it ) He is showing an incredibly naive perspective on just about everything. My 14 year old has a more mature world-view and he's only been 14 for about a week. This guy (Ike) needs to wise up in more ways than one. Why would he think someone else would pay for a lack of judgement on his part? Unless his parents have done all of his thinking for him for his whole life. If that is the case they did him a HUGE dis-service. I wonder if he'd be interested in buying a bridge? Or a quick game of 3 card monty |
