I'm a Bueller; I'm not the least bit embarrassed. Nor do I think the characterization "Hunk-O-Junk" is in any way shape or form appropriate. |

I like it minus the number plates - the longer travel combined with the the streets of SF and the Bay area - would definately equal a smoother ride, yet the quality of everything overall would still allow for great handling - lol - a City X for the city, especially with the easy to clean features - this bike cries out practicality and fun - you know I like changing stuff to fit myself and there is very little little I would change on this bike - it looks a very complete unit. Jeezus H. Keeryst; nobody's even seen one in the metal, let alone sat on one or ridden one, and some people are slamming it like it's a piece of junk. It's a freakin' BUELL ! It's going to handle well, make good, usable power, and be as dependable as a 12 pound sledgehammer. Why don't you whiners ride one before you start slamming it? |

Lets establish a few things.... Who here gets a paycheck from BMC? Ok, you have to remain loyal. Everyone else... Say what you want, why focus on only one brand? Other brands make awesome machines as well. This bike is UGLY. I honestly laughed when I saw it. Just because it says BUELL on it, doesn't mean it was sent here by some ultimate being. Unlike some people here would have you believe. ERIK ISN'T GOD PEOPLE no, big deal... this will probably get removed after only reaching a handful of people. Seriously though.. brand loyalty is good and everything, but I'm afraid some people have taken it a little TOO FAR. (Message edited by brineusaf on November 19, 2006) |

I can't believe you guys are being so negative about this bike. This is PROOF that Erik is paying attention to what we, the owners, are doing with our bikes. We KNOW that he and his team read this board and post here. They KNOW what we want. They are TRYING to give it to us, and when he comes out with something that makes it easier for owners to do what they have been doing with thier bikes, you bash it? What about this new suspension? Why is that there? Whats new about it? Few of you have even mentioned that! The bike could be a HUGE leap forward in suspension technology, and you are pissed that it has number plates on it? GROW UP! |

I personally would like to see what would happen if Stou, or our friend that won the helmet design contest (his name escapes me) got ahold of one of these bikes. Or the guy that painted Bads1's bike. |

Gomo, I don't know how to answer that question really. They did release a tourer, albeit it wasn't a sport-tourer. If I had to guess, I would say that they wanted to capitalize on the "Adventure Touring" market. I don't have all the marketing data, but I'll bet if you crunch the numbers, that market has more potential than the "Sport-Tourer" market. I'm sure what it comes down to is whether or not they believe what is going to be more profitable. But thats just a guess. I'm going to start another thread about this on the XBoard. |

You know what, I see a hell of a lot more ST1300's, FJ1300's and the like on the road than I see enduro crossbreed "adventure tourers". They are friggin everywhere. The clubs are HUGE. I ride with a group of them on occasion, those are awesome bikes man... really... |

They KNOW what we want. I can't stop laughing at this statement. I've heard about 3 positive comments on this bike. I'll buy a USED S3T before they give us what they really want. Just as well, I already swore I would never buy a new bike at a HD/Buell dealership again anyhow, due to the shoddy service I have ALWAYS received, no matter the location. |

Brineusaf, Look at the age of a lot of us Buellers. It is pretty naive of you to believe that we have not owned and rode the other brands out there. Look at your profile statement about why you ride a Buell. Same for a lot of us. Why are we focus on one brand? We are not and BTW, BadWeb is a Buell owner web site. Dragon... just to clarify - nowhere did I say that people on here haven't tried other makes. It didn't say people didn't try other brands. I was simply stating how people only tune in to Buell, and only care about Buells, and dismiss everything else as garbage, or useless machines. Certain people on here take anything from Buell and call it a gift from above. Fact is, Buell is going to do what it thinks will make it money. That's why there is a board, ect ect. Erik can't just produce whatever he wants, no matter what powers some may have you believe he has. Oh, and I missed the part that must have been offensive. I appreciate your deleting it. |

Even Court says it's hard to purchase a bad motorcycle in present times. I just wish people would stop holding everything Buell in such high regard. Look at Yamaha, they tried to listen to their consumers by raising the Rev-Limit on their bikes. Other companies listen to their consumers as well, they may not have the time to meet with everyone, but damn.. look at how big the other companies are. (lets forget they lied about the rev-limit in advertisements - they tried) |

Kyle, let me restate myself. Be careful, you are throwing a wide net there. You do not have to hold Buell in high regards but if others do, that's their choice and right. I understand your frustration but I have learned a while back that wishing others would do what I want them to do, does not work. I hope you continue to enjoy your Buell and any other bike you chose. I know I will! BTW, I like the fact that this new model can better serve than other models, as a good base to build the bike many want. So there! |

I like the bike for a number of reasons: 1) the side number plates seem like they would go a ways toward making the bike more aerodynamic - helping the air to close better around the rider, 2) the number plates look like they'd provide great support for soft bags, 3) longer travel suspension & reasonable seat height is always a welcome benefit, 4) it looks rowdy, 5) I like orange. |

Jon is too hilarious. Kyle (Brine), "I just wish people would stop holding everything Buell in such high regard." For the record, I hold the XB Lightning headlights and the Buell oil pump drives in extremely low regard. |
