http://motorcycledaily.com/19november06_hus650.htm I know... not exactly what you were expecting to see after a subject line like that, eh? |

It look OK I guess. It really needs number plates to complete the look though. |

Large, wing-like flaps around the rear tire, perhaps? |

That thing screams Tamburini. I like it. It has a kind of Brutale-cool but in a simpler design. The extended range via fuel capacity is a nice bonus. (Ducati, Tamburini's former employer, could take notes for their hyper-motard ) |

"Large, wing-like flaps..." Hmm...I've found top secret development photos of the "TT"... http://www.universalhartland.com/code/galc21mc.sht ml Maybe those aren't just number plates after all! |

"That thing screams Tamburini." While the "TT" screams Starbuck and Apollo. |

Looks like another example showing how Buell is missing the mark. Sad....very sad |

That's because you are not like the others. You are different and so must be persecuted, ignored, and finally have your organs harvested. Juuuuust kidding. |

It is a work of art for sure. But I don't know, well yes I do, to me it looks, well... too girly. |

Blake, I couldn't agree more, but, like Matt (Trojan)said yesterday, something about Buell needing to update the component parts. Despite that Husky looking girly, it does show how upto date superbike technology is being used across a wider range of bikes. Rocket |

Tough to beat the Italians when it comes to motorcycle styling. On the other hand, based on recent offerings from BMW, you DON'T want a German designer. On second thought, I think BMW's head designer is David Robb, an American. Hmmmmmmmm... I love the look of the OLD BMW's, mostly designed by Hans Muth... so maybe German designers aren't so bad after further reflection... |

Question: If it's a single cylinder, why two header pipes? |

Four valve head with two exhaust ports and two intake ports. I've seen that before on Japanese singles with four valve heads. Actually, if I recall correctly, the BMW (Aprilia) singles are the same way. |

one reason is to allow a single down tube for the frame and keep it all compact with the motor as far forward as possible. |

The Husky is all over this weeks MCN. The tech spec is very impressive even down to a socket that can be accessed with a torque wrench through the tank which allows the frame geometry to be adjusted for different riding conditions. Looks better in MCN than in the above pic. Not quite so girly! Suggested £6000 Rocket |
