Has anyone heard about the Buell/Bedazzler contest? http://mybedazzler.com/ Bling it up boys! Seriously, poor Erik. Who's pushing this sh*t? The HD Parts and Accessory clowns? |

I like it...I'm going to make sure there is one in our family of Buells... you negative-nelly's can quit your whining and wait until later next year for the new stuff to come out, if there is anything. Buell has brought us new products, one way or another for the last few years, I mean the ENTIRE XB line is only a few years old, itself!... and whether or not it's something you like, if you want a "me too" bike you're in the wrong place. If you have the bike you like, then be patient, good things will come... no offense, but you sound like a bunch of spoiled brats... |

ouch! that stings. Sorry if I like a little INNOVATION once in a while. Something MORE than slapping wings on a maxipad. |

For the past few years now with the XB series, the mantra of minimalism and parts being designed to do more than one thing/job has been been preached. Color me acclimmated. As such, my initial impression is - what's up with that?!?! Those side panels are flash & splash. Extra. Unneeded. I can't help but look and think, why are those there? Oh, yeah. So we can paint 'em. pffft. If ya'll wanted to give us an actual canvas, why not offer all white panels for all the XB models and let us really go fo shizzy? Oh well. This is the extent of my negativity. I've learned to wait till I see something in the flesh. It nearly always makes a better impression on me in person. Someone explain to me though, what else do those side panels do? I asking myself this and haven't a clue... |

Can you guys even read? 1.Different suspension travel- right between the reg. xb and the uly, 2. Different rake and trail than the other bikes, too. This is a different chassis, guys. Different bike. It's still an XB, sure, but it hasn't JUST had a couple fenders and a couple "number plates" added. If ya don't like it, that's your choice, but get yer facts straight and atleast flame it on yer opinion, not just on B.S.! Read the specs atleast! SHEESH! Pretty darn good for a mid-year release! |

You know - that would look real good with Black bodywork;0) (- and ditch the numberplates) GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

There's not a lot of changes on that bike but those changes can make a big difference. I love my 9SX. When I look at the specs of the STT, I think it can be better than the 9SX. Not a lot more heavier than the 9SX, more travel, more power, more torque, a bit longer, different rake and trail, more ground clearance, bigger fuel capacity. All those things can make a big difference on a bike. Wait to try it before trashing it, you can be surprised! |

You know, maybe swapping the forks and shock would make a Uly shorter; enough that more people could ride one. My wife loves my Uly, but it's too tall for her. I just told her about this, and now she has that look in her eyes... Looks like a test ride is in order. |

Aesthetically, I think it is a great bike. Some road and track tests just might prove it. HD's new XR1200 remains my favorite based on the seat to handlebar ergo's and the fact that I like to see more engine. Still, that all remains a mystery until I get to sit on both of them. |

I hate the look of it. but as bigblock stated, I read on and that thing with a bit of plastic and seat reworking could be the best one there...longer frame=more fuel, better ergos for bigger folks. More suspension travel=smoothing the ride a bit, better ride height availability. Now if I can get the artistic advisory board to believe what I'm doing is the best.... |

i don't like the number plates either and was basically underwhelmed with the release, but... i can't wait to see how this model gets customized sans-plates, handguards, mirrors, belt guards. remove it all and start tweaking. i predict there'll be some badass STTs to be seen. the increase in suspension travel alone = more hooliganism. give it time. its basically a beefy CityX. that can't be so bad. (i still dont get the number plates though, how odd ) |

its basically a beefy CityX Exactly, Typeone! Maybe everyone is reacting so negatively to the pretension that this is a new model. I think the bike is fine, it's the marketing that stinks on this one. What if, instead of all the "NEW! TT!" nonsense, they had simply said, "How much fun could y'all have on a 1200cc City-Cross with long travel suspension? Hell, we'll even put the Lightning Long subframe on it for a little more room!" That's what they've got here and, to me, it sounds like a fun bike. They're just promoting it wrong. I'll reserve final judgement 'til I get to ride one. HellBuelly J "It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to management than the creation of a new Buell. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who gain by the new ones." --Nicolo Machiabuelli |

I kinda still wish it had the nine motor in it, as I think that motor has more potential for fun, but as soon as I get some time, I'm gonna submit my representation... |

I'm with you CeeJay, but what I was thinking was to put a short stroke 12 in there. That'd be great fun. |

Geeze guys, what a bunch of negative Nancys! Think about what this says. Erik and his team have looked around and they have seen what owners are doing with thier bikes. So, they came out with a model that is easily painted and so forth. If they pay that much attention to what the owners are doing with thier bikes now, what do you think they have in store for the future? Certainly they have heard owners complaining of lack of power, etc. Designing a new motorcycle and testing it takes time. You dont just whip it up in Autocad and send it into production. I'll bet that if they weren't beginning to design the bike to replace the XB the year after the XB9R came out, they were soon after. Just hang in there and try to be a little positive please! Talking to me? Who, you mean Mr. Buell Positivity himself? Neh, I wasn't worried about you Court. I have great hope for the future of Buell, which is why I'll be stopping by East Troy on my way home for Christmas, to drop off a resume. People can find all the reasons they want to complain, but the XB series is an amazing motorcycle. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. |

HMMMM damn they built my bike in a 12! It is a capable frame and concept without the ULY altitude. XB9SX in valencia orange, race kit and the uly fender set (it bolts right on!) 6k miles on it, been riding it since March.

Weeeelllll, I've had a look on the Buell website & looked at the options, & to my mind all you have to do is get the single seat kit & lose all the rear end crap light bracket & side panels, you'll have a bang up to date S1. Am I wrong? I'd like to try one but I won't hold my breath with my local dealer, I wanted to try the Ss model & they have a demo bike, but I couldn't take it out "Because it looks like it might rain".
