One of a few positive news stories for motorcyclists. Look closely and you will see two fellow BabWeb riders. The guy they interviewed is "Watrousmark" and a few quick shots of myself in the video. http://www.wkrn.com/nashville/news/patriot-guard-s upports-fallen-heroes-families/60079.htm |

Excellent representation for an undeniably "make a difference" organization! Not often these days do you find a story (or cause) that is truly worth while. Made my day. Bob |

that's the second story i've seen on the guard, the first one they must have had over fifty guys in front of a lot of demonstrators and when they started chanting their bs they fired up their bikes and drowned them out. i'll be looking them up myself. people who lose some one need all the support they can get whether it's from friends or from a total stranger. just like the lady that i met some time ago who was trying to sale some of her late husband's things after he was lost in a house fire. we got talking about what my friend and i did for a living (drafting now) and she happened to mention that she had started to get into autocadd, but because of trying to raise a family before the fire happened she had to drop out. i mentioned to her about hooking her up with a version so maybe she could start brushing up on it again then i found out that the computer she had took a crap. i in turn talked to my computer buddy, who lost his wife last year after she fell and hit her head during a heart attack and never came out of a coma, and asked him if had something laying around. and because of all the work i've helped him with on his house's over the years he didn't hesitate to put together a computer that's hooked up with a version of autocadd for this lady. i finally got to give her that computer yesterday and she was pretty happy cause at first she thought she was only gonna get a version of the autocadd to work with and not the computer along with it. bottom line is that it's people helping people when they need it the most. thanks matt and mark, it's nice to put a face to a name on the badweb. |
