We have seen countless Photoshop mock-ups posted here on this forum.
The company notices it, provides us an empty canvas then tells us to go at it...
I've been looking for someone to hang out & dry. You just nailed it I think.
Someone here [a badwebber] mods they're airbox cover. Cuts an intake in the front collar around the gas cap. Shows up in production.
We collectively gripe about the cramped ergos of the XB's. They build the ULY.
We ask for less agressive rake and wheelbase. They build us the SS.
On & on. Looking back on this, I've been asking myself - "Who asked for extra panels?" No one. But we have a penchant for painting em. So they just gave us some more real estate on which to do so. It makes sense now.
Now, if someone would really listen, and give us a full translucent blue body panel set for the R's that "I've" been asking for...  |

Blank Canvas!!! Too short fot the ULY. I did mine back in March, riding it daily since. XB9SX 6k miles. Valencia orange, race kit, Uly front end (It bolts right the heck on) The platforme is very capable, just wish i knew there were going to build it with great travel, bigger fuel tank and a 1203 displacement.

I would love to but it;s likely not in the cards this trip. I've made 9:00AM, 11:00AM and 3:00PM commitments tomorrow and it turns out we're going to be making an unexpected visit by Waukesha Hospital on Saturday.
But I see future trips in teh works and I'd love to make it to the boiler room.
We still talk about the hospitality the time we all came to WI on the spur of the moment!
I'll give you a call when I hit the ground. |

I think our major complaint was we felt the contest was exclusive and would have welcomed one that "all" were able to take part in.
And a bit mean-spirited to attack that.
Not all folks have an artistic eye/talent.
I have no eye for lines--why I cannot do decent bodywork-- and being red/green colorblind kinda puts another obstacle up. Not to mention alot of folks have no familiarity with PhotoShop or any similar programs, myself included.
So can't draw my ideas,can't guarantee the colors I put down will be correct, and am absolutely unable to translate anything I could do to a computer. Sorry if my inadequacies bother you. |

wow, isnt this weird. I was able to see the contest link at a puter from work. So I set up a profile, email myself the link, and when I get home I go to the Buell website and the link on the bottom right is GONE!!! Now I know its just my home puter because I cant even see the link in the first post that people claim is their. AND THEN when I checked the email it just says "sponsored link" in place of the url I sent myself. I thought I would share this info with you guys because its obvious someone feels threatenned by me and wants to win the bike real bad... |
