I am down in Daytona Beach for a week of golf. I talked my foursome into a trip to the worlds biggest HD store. What a disappointment. 5 Buell bikes, but not a t-shirt or accessory to be had. 7 million HD shirts but no Buell. The lady in the clothing department told me that they had a couple of windbreakers but HD refused to send them out anything for the Buell marque. Ah well, I did pick up info to rent a HD when we come back in March. ($99 day ++) B |

Are you looking at the original store on Beach Street, or that monstrous "Destination Daytona" place off of I-95? |

When I was up at Destination Daytona in August they had a whole wall of Buell clothing and bike accessories. Half of the upper level was chalk full of Buells too, lots of Ulys there. |

I was at Destination Daytona during Biketoberfest and they had moved the Buells downstairs. They had 6 of the 2006 Ulys. Also, had some t-shirts, jackets and some bike accessories too. |

From what I remember of the Beach Street location, it was pretty useless in terms of Buell (although they did give me a quick oil change and going over the year I rode my M2 Cyclone down there). I wasn't even aware they were a Buell dealership! I'm sorry I didn't get to "Destination Daytona" this past Biketoberfest. I didn't think it would be worth my while so I didn't bother. |

i like to think that the h-d dealer in daytona has a lot of pompous aholes working for them. when we went over for a ride a couple years ago during bike week, my wife was on her ultra trike that we got rid of last year, we get over there and we realize that the petcock coming out of the tank went bad and were leaking gas. we go over to the shop and get hasseled because it had a leahman trike kit on it. even though we talk to a factory adjuster about the warranty and get approved the shmucks wouldn't touch the bike which the problem had nothing to do with the trike kit and told us we had to go down to the trike shop down the street. thank you for that great experience daytona H-D, i hope everyone there chokes on their own greed. i will not ever buy anything from there at all. |

wonder what daytona harley would have said about your lehman trike if they knew this was coming? http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2006/09/01/0205 11.html "Harley-Davidson Motor Company today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Lehman Trikes U.S.A., Inc. of Spearfish, S.D., for the development of three-wheeled vehicles, commonly referred to as "trikes." Plans call for trikes to be developed around a Harley-Davidson(R) motorcycle product platform and sold as original equipment branded Harley-Davidson vehicles through authorized Harley-Davidson dealers." I remember attempting to go to destination daytona during bike week. I'm still pretty angry about how I was treated. |

yea i heard about that a few weeks ago buellgirlie. although i did stop there to see what the store looked like, because my buddy said i should stop and see it, lo and behold what did they have sitting out front but two trikes. how ironic. that pissed me off even more. the only good thing about going there was i got to see my buddy's brother who i hadn't seen for a couple years. apparently he moved over to coco beach and just happened to be looking around himself. and it didn't seem like they were very buell friendly with what little stuff they had there. by the way the lehman trike kit is a piece of sh-t in my opinion. the next time my wife thinks about three wheels it will be with a side hack. |

What a shame. Daytona Beach, the motorcycling capitol of the U.S. What a potential for Buell sales. In 2004 when I transfered to Beach street from Ft. Lauderdale I was promised all the support to make Daytona the Buell capitol (we were the number 2 Buell dealer in sales in 2003, Ft Lauderdale not Daytona) only to be chastised everyday by the entire sales staff for riding "those bikes", even the promise of BadWeb sponsorship never materialized, oh well, some people just don't get it. With them it's a money thing. BTW, I had to go to AMI to get a correct TPS reset, you get the picture. |

Next time you go to AMI (now Wyotech, and they've moved to "Destination Daytona" by the time you read this) say "Hi!" to Stripe for me... |
