will a top triple clamp off of a 2005 XB12R fit on a 2005 XB12SCG?

I could be wrong but I believe that the 12scg still uses 41mm fork tubes instead of the current 43mm found on the '05 up models.

That refers to the fork lowers. The top clamp size did not change. The bottom clamp area tapers to a larger diameter to compensate for the larger lowers.
