Love the John Deere lawnmower bike. This reminds me. A guy I occasionally ride with has a 1978 Honda CX500 that he has painted up in full John Deere colors. It looks great! Asbjorn |

Anything Motard, specifically the Aprilia Race SXV 5.5. Not even out in US and already outlawed for ANY AMA racing series. Norton 60's Cafe Racer, I know I'm no purist but these things are cool. The silver K1000 from Mad Max. That silly looking bike gives me goose bumps whenever I watch the movie. It sounds so sweet. My old RM-Z 250. I wish I could have kept it and bought my Cyclone. Silly me and my financial responsibilty. It would have made a great motard bike.............. |

Tramp, you basically described the first 6 of about 300 bikes you will see after you walk through the doors at the wheels through time museum... and those are the common ones. You been there? |

My bike of course .... Triumph Thunderbird Sport (with cafe touches) Triumph Thruxton 900 (also with the cafe touches) Old wartime BMW's .... Last but not least .. cafe bikes in general - so much in fact that over the course of the next year I will buy a Buell motor, use my conventional forks that I just took off my M2, got a guy that will build a custom one-off cafe frame to house the twin and use the M2 stock front-end, use the stock header removed from my M2 and build my own American Twin cafe ... (ala Buell) Can you tell I like the cafe bikes ? Edited because .... ... if the price is right on the new Sportster XR1200 ... that may actually be my next bike ... local dealer keeps telling me I'm not going to build a bike - he is going to sell me the Sporty ... we'll see .... In a reality strikes scenario it's entirely possible I might own a Brutale 910R eventually. I've simply too many eggs in the basket right now. Once those eggs are hatched then I may start looking seriously. I've made a decision already not to spend nearly £11000 on a new 910R and am waiting until the used market drops the price nearer 6K. Seems these bikes don't get much use by the yuppies that buy them, so low milers are the norm for the handful that come up for sale used. Next on the shopping list might be a cheap BMW 1100GS with the ABS brakes, or perhaps an 1150 if one comes up cheap enough. I have a desire to ride into North Africa sometime soon. No point in buying a mint condition expensive model. Might as well buy a well tried and tested example. Dream bikes. I'd have an MV F4 1000. That would satisfy my need for speed. Rocket |

If we're into the cost is no object collectable stuff, then a Crocker & Vincent Black Shadow would certainly be in the list, too. The Wheels Through Time museum is fantastic. If you are ever in the area, you have to stop in. Dale (the owner) is a real hoot as well. The Crocker is beautiful that he has. |

maybe I'm getting old but I like the BMW R1200R. The R1200S makes a claimed 125HP, I know that the R's 109HP must be upgradeable to S spec. Aircooled V-twin making over 110HP...anyone at Buell listening? |
