I know there has to be some Ozzy fans on the board. I saw him on the Spike TV award show last night and they played a clip of "something" he said during an interview. Am the only one here that needs an Ozzy Translator. I have seen so many clips of him spouting somthing that you know is funny as hell, but it just sounds like "wmhfmffgffmppwhh" and then he laughs. So I ask you... what the hell is Ozzy saying?! |

Maybe you should hire James Brown as your interpreter? |

If you can't understand Ozzy then you never understood Ozzy. Father of Heavy Metal, the one and only. |

No doubt, Pwnzor! We have our collection of old Sabbath. Maybe if he would just sing everything he has to say! |

The reason you don't understand what Ozzy is saying is because Ozzy doesn't understand what he is saying. |

Ozzy is as Ozzy does. Life is like a box of Ozzy. You never know what you're going to get. |

The details of him, his day to day life, and the lives of his wife and kids was way more than anyone needed to know. My sons were of the Heavy Metal generation, I could tolerate and even enjoy some of that music. At least the ones that had and showed a passing acquaintance with the structure of music. But that TV show was an insult of the highest order. To gravitate to a TV set to listen to and watch what transpired within that family was self deprecation at the highest level. To those who watched I have to ask, have you no self respect at all? Jack (grumbling off into the distance...) |

ever seen that Saturday night live skit, they are trying to get a lunch order for Taco bell from Ozzy, but can't understand a lick of it. basically they ask him to sing it...funny stuff. To me the early sabbath stuff is some of the best music ever put onto vinyl/cd/tape, even if it did spawn a bunch of crappy music that is coming out now... |

While I am Ozzy's biggest fan, I will agree with your assertion about the tv show. I have never watched that show, even once. I do not watch MTV ever, and my cable box is trained to skip over it as well as VH1. You have to manually enter the channel to get it. MTV and VH1 are crap. That show is/was beneath Ozzy and I can only assume that he needed a paycheck to feed his stupid ass kids. Because NEITHER OF THEM will EVER make more than a few dollars. |

Yep...can't you just see one of the McDonalds drive through headsets in the futire for Kelly and Jack? I never watched more than about a minute of the show. Thank goodness he still gets royalty checks! I agree ceejay! We keep a couple in the disc changer all the time. That along with a little Nazareth, AC/DC, and even a little Kiss from time to time. |

I have a couple of Sabbath box sets, the one that is black suede with shiney black letters has basically a library of all their stuff. I'll put any of the first four albums against anything else out there. Supernaught may well be the best drum composition ever...Also I have two cover CD's that are awesome. My kids are 6 and almost 3 and they know the intro to ironman. AC/DC-if you don't have bonfire-early box set get it. excellent live stuff. |

At least one episode of that show was excellent... It's the only one I watched but Ozzy ended up throwing a brick through his neighbors window. Funny stuff. I don't remember why he did it though. |

I saw him with Black Sabbath in '71 in Syracuse NY. I think Mountain w/ Leslie West opened for them. I think it was '71, Pretty sure it was Ozzie. It's all a bit hazy, actually. I'm sure I had a really good time! Well, I think so, anyway. AL (You couldn't understand him back then, either.) |

He said, "I am the richest idiot on the planet and you don't have to understand that". Ha! What a genius.... |

Now see Al, I thought the trick to understanding Ozzy may have been to get as wasted as he was... now I to start research all over again! Drift: You are probably right! I just thought maybe he was saying "why did I have these two idiot children". Don: That sounds like it would have been worth seeing! |
