Is Golden Gate HD/Buell! I'm shopping around for parts and call them - the parts guy says he doesn't have it , however, if anybody else in the Bay area has it let him know and he'll get it there - at a lesser price than they charge, and if I wait a day - he'll check his garage and see if he has an extra laying around. That kind of going the extra is how you gain and keep customers! Bravo! Now thats Customer Service! GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Wasn't trying to piss in your Wheaties, I'm just burned on dealers but we all know how I feel by now. We have to take any little scrap of service we can get, don't we? |

Its true to some extent, I well know the feeling from DP, its just nice to hear that there can be a positive customer experience at a HD/Buell Dealership - I know too well the negative aspect - so when your not expecting anything, for someone to try to go out of their way is a pleasant suprise. Sounds good, but like Matt said, why didn't he check the database for you? His offering to go the extra mile (looking in garage) says alot about someone's character though. |

my daughter works in motorcloths at the brandon, fl store and they have access to every store there is for locating stuff, all he had to do was get on the computer. he probably was going to give you a discount for doing his work for him. |

Neverenuf, That only works for dealers that use a Talon system. (a H-D based inventory software that links directly with the mothership) IE If Dealer 1 uses Talon, then any dealer can go to H-D net and see what Dealer 1 has. BUT If Dealer 2 runs another program to track their inventory, then no dealer can see what they have VIA H-D net. SO EZ's dealer may have looked on H-D net and seen that the Talon using dealers do not have it, then suggested to EZ that if he finds a dealer than let him know. |

then EZ, the next time you talk to that dealer, find out if their on the talon system. when i was trying to get info for my buddy about what to get him for his birthday for the m2 that he got(of which he wasn't able to decide on that one so we went with something else, thanks for the help dave and sorry) dave went out of his way to see what he can do for me. that's a good service oriented person. |
