I saw a bunch of whining about buell reliablility before I bought mine. A lot of it is guys that bought Blasts used. Again I don't think it is so much against the brand as the dealer nonsupport. IF you look you will see bad things about all the major brands.....Heck I even found a site complaining about the highly esteemed BMW. |

I jest don't under stand all the whine'n an cryin? What, cars never break? I pop'd a head gasket once, when the bike was very young, screew the dealer and the warranty took me four hours to get back on the road. I blew up a Buell American Motorcycle once. I draged it home, opened the shop & partz manuals and got busy. Was back on the road in a month. Got Tools? |

Everyone has bad luck at times with all types of vehicles. Mercedes, BMW (cars and bikes), etc. No single manufacturer is immune. It just needs to be put into perspective. How you care for your vehicle speaks volumes about the credibility of any complaint. If you beat on it constantly with no thought given to regular maintenance, expect to have problems. I read the posts on that web site before buying my Lightning, but it was clearly a forum for whiners and malcontents. I saw very few constructive comments. |

That web site was about his experiences with a Blast (real or imagined). It was up when I was looking at Buells two years ago, before I bought my XB9S. I didn't let it dissuade me, and I'm sooooo glad! Good luck, Bill |

Seems like the site is down. If its the one I remember it's very anti-buell and anti-boswell's. Boswell's HD/Buell is a dealer here in my town of Nashville, TN. I read the website before I bought my last 3 buells (P3, M2, 9R) from boswell's. I have had nothing but great service and great bikes from boswell's. Boswell's buell staff ride/service/race buells. Good guys and gals, great bikes. A few things to remember. They make bad rolexs every day. Some customers can't be pleased. Buell's are not for everybody. (most, but not everybody) If any one has any concerns about buells or boswell's I'm pretty well versed in both. Let me know if you have any questions. |

My Buell broke down the day I bought it, stripped the oil pump drive, but since then I`ve had to replace the voltage reg, & the speedo sender has just died. That`s in 3 years, (has it really been that long? time flies when you`re having fun!) Over the years I`ve owned in excess of 60 vehicles, cars, trucks, bikes, & by far the worst pos have been GM products. That`s just my experience mind. |

That's ancient history. IIRC Court tried to solve this issue 3, or more, years ago and the person wasn't looking for help. Just wanting to rant, rave, and bitch. I bought my Rolex from the Bling-Bling Brothers, Kuwait City, Kuwait and it's flawless -- except my perpetual motion movement seems more quartz like G2 |

They make bad rolexs every day. Yup! IIRC, the most 'reliable' new cars in America average 120 problems per 100 cars. If I'm doing the math right, you have a 120% chance of having a problem with a brand new car! |
