Ok yesteryday I picked up the new issue of motorcyclyst and in it it had an aticle about the 08 sporster having a new liquid cooled motor in it. My question is does any one think that that motor might see its way in to a buell and does anyone think it would be a good thing if it does? |

I'm pretty sure Glitch could've done a much better job photoshopping the picture than they did. Give it a shot Glitch! While you are at it try to get a V Rod motor into a XB without stretching the frame or wheelbase. |

don't they have mass air sensors and some other electronic bull crap? My old 1992 Sporty ran perfect only a failed starter relay.. Nothing a good push start can't solve. |

Motorcyclist missed on this one My; how unusual! The magazine has little to no credibility, IMO. It's because of misinformation like this and their blatant anti-Buell bias that I haven't read one in many years. It's good to see they haven't pulled their collective heads from each others collective rectums. |

Anony, thanks for squashing this one. The National Motor Cyclist Enquirer could use a little bit of help getting the facts straight. That was a pretty good 2 page tabloid article. |

Is this one of the reasons Boehm is no longer editor? |

I stopped aggravating myself by even looking at Motorcyclist on the store shelf. I'll continue to buy Cycle World to at least read Kevin Cameron's column. Bill |

I like the simplicity of aircooled (old school I guess) Duc still has some left in the line up. Suppose I wouold entertain an airhead BMW |

Good one Spiderman. I don't understand why everyone is afraid of Buell adding water cooled bikes to their line up. There is no immediate reason to remove the air cooled bikes, so we can have both. It would be good for the brand too, to have other people that may not have considered Buells before to now be interested in them. |

"Not happening. Motorcyclist missed on this one." That's good news. I was hoping for more of a scaled down VR1000 inspired engine minus the fake fins. Hate to say it, but I really want the next Sportster to be like a pugnacious streettrack version of an SV1000. Let England have the streetfighters... this'd be more like an Amercian streetbrawler. |

I will not buy another Buell till they reinstate those leaky rocker gaskets. I hate change. |

And I will not buy another Buell until they bring back the paper primary gasket. I have an entire set of custom made gasket pegs that have been rendered completely useless. $2 worth of dowel, shot to hell. |

Personally...I'd buy a liquid cooled Buell. But not being liquid cooled isn't stopping me from concidering a new Buell either. I'm just not a big fan of the XB line-up (except the Uly). |

Our district service rep Vik Chipman has told us the concept motor has been in exsistance through R&D since 2004. But they couldn't implement the change through EPA regulations quick enough to accomodate the frame change. Look for it in the 2008 model line-up. Name withheld due to job liability. Thanks |

LOL Hootowl! Good to hear you again! I do also, right beside the green tinkertoy that I use to install new crank seals. I demand failing crank seals as well! |

"Look for it in the 2008 model line-up." Just for clarity, do you mean the 08 Buell line up? |
