anyone know how to find harley collectors? i'm trying to sell a 1998 1200 custom sportster, 95th anniversary edition, 95th anniversary paint and medallion, numbered production of 3000 units, only 11 miles (dealer in-service mileage), prepped for long-term storage at delivery, NEVER ridden on the street, mint and 100% original stock parts, original owner, kept inside - humidity, temperature, UV controlled, and 1 of 4 bikes that were won at the official 95th anniversary celebration in milwaukee in 1998. located in west Texas.
thx! D |

ebooos. clearly YOU are not the right buyer! the value of it is in its integrity and its condition. if you wanted a sportster frame and motor - those are a dime a dozen D |

So book value for a USED 98 sportster is out of the question? Jeez, the thing's almost 10 years old. |

C'mon it's just a Sportster, they are meant to be ridden, slowly but ridden nonetheless. |

No one rides in west Texas, the sand gets in your eyes. When I lived in Alamogordo, NM I never got to west Texas but I saw it and didn't care for it. Half of west Texas used to blow by every day. Jack |

hence, the fact that i am looking for how to find "harley collectors" not trying to sell it to anyone here - sheeeeeesh! my hometown is west texas, and its beautiful in its own way! like the entire sky full of sunrises, sunsets, and stars. like driving down the road at night and seeing towns show up on the horizon as glittering blankets in the dark. Buddie Stubbs HD in the Phoenix area has a huge collection of motorcycles. His museum is open to the public on weekends I think. The point I am alluding to. Maybe he can be of some help. |

Dora, That reads a little harsh as I read it again. It was meant in jest. I love thare are of the country too. Desert is beautiful, low to high and night to day. Good luck on selling that, it's a beauty! Jack |

How about Hemmings Motor News? Haven't looked in a few years, but it was collector oriented. I used to read the printed edition from the local newstand but you can find them online these days. SteveH |

Makes as much sense to chop it into a mutant as it does an S2 or S1W. Both of those had production numbers of around 2000. Sure the sporty above is vacuum sealed but it's not really a unique bike other than being a contest bike. |
