i hate to make accusations without knowing the whole story but when you try email and phone, and you get nothing i guess this is what you do. anyone who has purchased something from me has never called back and said i lied about what i had sent them. when i sent this guy a matching set of locks(ignition, fork and gas cap with 2 keys) i was only asking $40 plus his old gas cap and key to have for the spare tank that i have after my daughter was hit a couple months ago. after finding out that the package was delivered via ups i tried to contact the guy again. no luck. i sent the stuff in good faith just to be ripped off it seems like. if anyone has any contact with this guy, just tell the creton to finish his part of the bargain. so in this case let the seller beware. and don't believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see. this is his name, address and phone number. 808-864-6970 daniel cisneros 2544 ridgemar blvd apt 13 ft worth texas 76116 |

BEWARE: Another dishonest POS who visits this site and the XL Forum. Lester D Beal 14126 Louise Drive SW Cumberland, MD 21502 sportster88303@yahoo.com Sold me a part for a specific year and model Sportster knowing it wasn't the correct part (which he admitted to in a leter email) and then stated he would take it back and refund the money. He wouldn't do either, so beware of the XL Forum. Don't rely on PayPal to help you out either. Anyone know how to find this POS on ebay where he is a seller? |

When you use paypal be sure to use a credit card for payment. Paypal will not help, but most credit cards will back the buyer with 100% fraud protection. |

have you thought about taking a ride to visit these people face to face? I have found that most weasels shit their pants when the chips are down. |

the trouble is finding them, cause so far his phone number has been disconnected. so the only other thing to do right now would be to find the rental office to see if he even lives their still. as far as the ride goes, can't justify that for 40 bucks. but if i ever had a chance to go over their for any other reason that would be a different story. |

Paypal will help. You just have to keep on them. I had same issue last year and was refunded 75% by them and the rest from the credit card company. As for finding guy... contact ebay through their fraud dept and they will get back with you. |

unfortunately this is a sale that i did through this website and had nothing to do with ebay or paypal, which is why i started this. every other bueller i've dealt with so far has been pretty decent. and if there was a problem they did what they could to find out what a problem was. i would just hate to see the good guys get screwed because of one lame one. |

When buying parts on this site or any other site just remember that not all sellers are members. A lot of people sign up for these type of sites to just post items for sale. I will only buy from people that I see post on the site or I'll ask about the seller, remember that a lot of buell's have been chopped and people think this is a great site to sell these parts. For the most part I am sure most of these people are honest but you never do know. |

by selling to people from this website i was hoping to avoid most of those people who are just after the chopper parts, and just deal with buellers. as far as me being on this site, i used to go under oldman a few years ago, got a little offended and stopped posting. because i still know a good bit of people who do ride buells, and know what kind of people they are, is why i started posting again. like i said before, there hasn't been any complaints about what i've sold so far and i tried to let everyone know what kind of shape the parts was in at a very decent price. just trying to be honest. |

You know, I tried that "selling in faith" thing once. I sold some part from my 83 Honda (I forget what) and didn't get a check right after delivery. However, it must have been 6 weeks later, I got a check for the full amount plus an apology for the delay. So, to all of you that seem to be jumping to conclusions regarding the character of the buyer, give him/her some time. Having a little real faith (rather than pretend faith that gets flustered if they don't have a check in 3 business days) in mankind will help us all out in the long run. |

Funny thing is, 808 is a Hawaii area code. Not too sure what Dallas is, BUT, one of my co-workers still has a Dallas cell, and its 817..... Dont know that it will help you much... Also, the rental office wont be much help either, as I tried to find out is a certain STILL lived in a certain complex, etc, and they couldnt help due to the privacy act... Chase |

when a person gives you an address with a phone# from hawaii, i'd say the guy doesn't want to be contacted that easy. the one good thing that i can depend on is that what goes around comes around. i'm still paying for stupid stuff that i've done years ago in one form or another. yea it's only 40 but who else has he ripped off and for how much. |
