When you buy a used engine how does that work with the title and vin#?? Say you buy an engine that comes with bill of sale and copy of title can I just take old engine out and put my new used engine in??? Thanks if anyone can help. | ||

Yes and No. I think you could get away with it. I can't say that I've heard of too many people getting pulled over and having their VIN's checked, or for that matter having someone who would check both the frame and the motor. However, It's pretty simple to apply for a new VIN. You will more than likely have to apply for an assembled vehicle title. The state will send you a new VIN plate that you will have to attach to the bike. I'm sure there are other options, but that's what I'm going through right now. |
