I predict Hayden 1st, Rossi 2nd, Capirossi 3rd, Pedrosa 4th, Melandri 5th. Hoping to win a Dainese shirt by the end of the season. |

Is the race on Sunday? yup...tho with the time difference, today/Saturday here is Sunday there (SPEED is showing it Sunday @ 4PM) I predict Hayden 1st, Rossi 2nd, Capirossi 3rd, Pedrosa 4th, Melandri 5th. That will be interesting to see...Hayden said he was not happy with QP - said he had 1 good lap, but 27 bad...and that he really needs to do some work to keep good race pace (Message edited by bdabuell on September 16, 2006) |

Ducatis and Suzukis are on Bridgestones and are having a lot of difficulty finding grip with their qualifying tire. Nicky was pretty slow on race tires and had a very good qualifier on there. I hope this race is as good as the epic battle last weekend. This year's MotoGP series has been some of the best racing that I have ever seen. |

Didn't Rossi overcome something like a 10 second deficit at this race last year and win it? |

Hey Rocketman, I don't see Hayden in your standings. You got something against us MidWesterners? |

Does anyone know if the rumors are true about Garry McCoy riding a bike in the last two races of the season? |

i think Hopkins and Vermeulen have done an excellent job of showing that the bike can go very well, very fast... ...but it seems Suzuki and Bridgestone have to do some work to maintain it over race distance...they seem to be close |

Don't get me wrong. Hopkins and Vermeulen have done an excellent job, it's just the bikes aren't sorted out yet, and they haven't been since they came out. Suzuki needs an experienced test rider to help iron out their problems. Who did McWilliams ride for in 03? |

Suzuki have done great this season, thanks to their team run by Paul Denning and UK based Cresent Suzuki. Hopkins is the coming man where American's are concerned. Kenny Roberts Jnr has the experience and is showing it, and their British built bike is flying at last. Hayden is a great smooth rider, but Pedrosa is starting to eclipse him toward the season end. If Hayden wanted the title he should be pushing hard, not going for consistency. I can't help but feel he's resting on his laurels a little. Well maybe not resting, but certainly relying, and he is gonna get caught. Rocket |

Hayden's downfall is, if he wins this season, people will look down on him for having so few victories. People will always say that Rossi would have won if he didn't have the technical problems he had this season. Hayden needs to get the wins, not to win the championship, but to BEAT Rossi. |

Rossi is proving why he's considered one of the greatest racers EVER. Despite three DNF's, he's also WON more races than any other rider this season and is within striking distance of Nicky with only 21 points separating them. Nicky has to prove that he is hungry enough to go all out for a win and not just settle for consistent podiums before he'll ever be champion. He should take a lesson from his teammate last week who raced with a broken toe and gouged knee and STILL managed a podium finish. |

right at the end of broadcast yesterday, they said Hayden was appealing against Rossi, saying he had overtaken during a yellow flag condition, when that is not allowed...anyone know anything further on that? |

Superbike Planet had that yesterday. Since Stoner had passed him back, they decided there would be no penalty. Nicky's going to have to better than that. Hey, did anyone else notice that Max Biaggi got himself a World Superbike ride next season with a Suzuki satellite team? Let's see, he's pissed off Yamaha and Honda in MotoGP, so how he's all set to piss off some brand new manufacturers! Motorcycle USA said it best: "Ride the bike, don't make excuses." Good advice. Hope he takes it. |

Here is a story about Max from 1997. I thought this was pretty funny that he was an ass even before he was in the big show. http://www.superbikeplanet.com/featuremax1997.htm You have to admire Honda's patience in dealing with him so many times. |

the Repsol Honda crew deserves a lot of credit for the speed of Nicky's bike swap. I was stunned when Rossi pulled back onto the track with Nicky right on his tail. |
