I know of a shop in Dumfries, VA that gets bikes like that, but the owner is kind of a pain in the ass. Let me know if you want me to check w/ him. Kind of far from Ohio.

I recently bought such a bike for a race bike. I bought it through one of the local guys who always has rebuilt bikes for sale.

Watch the local or large city papers for people selling salvage title bikes. They usually have an in with someone in the insurance business or at least can buy at large salvage auctions.

If you know someone in the automotive recycling business, check with them, also, they usually have connections to all kinds of vehicles.

A much more economical approach to the pure track day machine is to buy one already converted for track use.

There are a lot of these around, and they usually cost $3-4000.

You find them by getting in touch with your local road racing club. Guys are always buying and selling them. Suzuki SV650's are particularly numerous, and make a good track tool if the suspension has been upgraded.
